I decided in this case, to make a study on the words "the end".
There is a few ways these words are used.
And it always in some way, points to the end of something, or a point in time that is leading towards the end of something.
I will mainly focus on 2 timelines, in this study.
And I checked out how these words are used in the bible , through many scriptures.
And now I will begin to show scriptures. with different timelines.
1rst timeline
1Co 15:24-26
(24) Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
(25) For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.
(26) The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
When will the last enemy that is death, be destroyed?
Rev 20:14
(14) And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
This happens during the time of the great white throne of judgment.
Rev 20:11
(11) And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
And Christ delivering up the kingdom to God, even the Father, refers to this:
Rev 21:1-4
(1) And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
(2) And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
(3) And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
(4) And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
Rev 21:23
(23) And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
So back to the Corinthians scripture:
1Co 15:24-26
(24) Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
(25) For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.
(26) The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
So Christ's reign here, is referring to the millennial reign, and he must reign until he hath put all enemies under his feet.
And the time of the end here, refers to when Christ delivers up the kingdom to the Father, which his done when a new earth is created, and the Father and New Jerusalem comes down to earth.
So that is one timeline, now let us get to our next timeline.
2nd timeline
Mat 24:3
(3) And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
Mat 24:14
(14) And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
Mat 24:30
(30) And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
So some of the questions were, what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world.
Now in Matthew 24, there are all kinds of signs given by God that shall take place, such as wars and rumors of wars, and so on.
But in the questions, they were asking specifically for a sign (singular) of his coming, and as sign of the end of the world.
In Matthew 24:30, it mentions the word sign (singular), which this is what it says:
Mat 24:30
(30) And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
And concerning another sign (singular), in regards to the end of the world, this is the specific sign given:
Mat 24:14
(14) And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
So it appears that during the time of the second coming about to taking place, that the gospel shall be preached in all the world.
So the time of the end, in these verses, points to the time frame, which leads up unto the second coming of Christ, and and will lead unto every corner of the world being preached to, even though they will be in perilous times.
So the end of the world, in this regard, refers to the end of the world as they know it, for the reign of the Gentiles will come to an end, and Christ will now reign.
So wth these things in mind, I now want to go to scriptures, in the book of Daniel.
Dan 12:4
(4) But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
Dan 12:9
(9) And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.
So if the book is sealed till the time of the end, that means when this time frame comes on the scene, it gets unsealed.
So when is this time frame?
Well let us see what else it says in Daniel chapter 12.
Dan 12:1
(1) And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
Here it refers to a time of trouble, and also it refers to God's people being delivered, and here it is in context of the Jewish people being delivered, and coming to Christ, and when shall that be? At Christ's second coming, which will begin the millennial reign.
And it seems that Daniel chapter 11, gives more details about this specific time of the end, which says this:
Dan 11:40
(40) And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over.
The king of the north here, is strictly referring to the Antichrist in this case, and here is a verse that shows more proof of this:
Dan 11:38
(38) But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things.
This is known to refer to the Antichrist, and in Daniel 11:40, it is talking about a timeline, or the time of the end, when the Antichrist shall be on the scene.
This time of the end, is referring to the time which leads towards the second coming of Christ, and that is when the seal gets unsealed, in this time frame, so are we in that time frame?
