I SURRENDER SOME!
For thou, LORD, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands. Psalms 92:4 KJV
What a wonderful affirmative statement concerning triumph in this troubled world. Many are going troublesome times and allowing the flesh, the world, and the devil to cause them to waiver.
Sometimes in the course of human events we are faced with an issue in life which seems paramount when measured with others things which confront us. Those are the times the situation endeavors to defeat us as if having a life force of its own. Sometimes it is a innate part of our nature which refuses to be crucified, or an outer condition which manifests in a massive demonstrative assault to paralyze us and hold us captive in a quagmire of emotional trauma. Then a whirlwind of fear, doubt, and unbelief becomes the driving force that leaves us in a state of confusion not knowing which way to turn.
The thought of never being able to overcome begins to takes it toll, and taxes our mind depleting as much faith, hope, and courage as it possibly can to leave us in a total state of unrest. Peace begins to be a part of the distant past and turmoil is the reality of the hour. Such is the schemes of the flesh, the world, and our arch enemy the devil.
(14) Now thanks be to God, who always causes us to triumph in Christ, and He revealing through us the odor of the knowledge of Him in every place. 2nd Corinthians 2:14 MKJV
There is one solution which will result in victory or defeat, it is the same dynamic whether it is for good or evil, for better or worse, it is the dynamic of total surrender. Surrender is the dynamic, choice is the method which determines if we win or lost. There is a God who transcends heaven and earth, who has given us great and precious promises, and there are three entities which work in unison which pertain to the corruption of those wonderful promises of God. Jesus instructs us how to preserve our lives and know we are secure through following him.
(34) Then calling to Him the crowd and also His disciples, He said to them, "If any one is desirous of following me, let him ignore self and take up his cross, and so be my follower.
(35) For whoever is bent on securing his life will lose it, but he who loses his life for my sake, and for the sake of the Good News, will secure it.
(36) Why, what does it benefit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his life?
(37) For what could a man give to buy back his life? Mark 8:34-37 WNT
One must choose with each new day to whom and what they shall surrender themselves to. If we surrender all to God in due season he shall assure us a victory even in the face of impending defeat no matter how paramount that mountainous issue or circumstance may appear. The key is total surrender, half hearted surrender will just intensify the battle and enhance the confusion connected to it. Surrendering all means giving it all to God, surrendering all means putting God first and foremost before everyone and everything.
We can likewise surrender to the flesh, the world, and the suggestions of the devil looking to them for solutions, but we will only find pollution, dissolution, and defeat. Don’t surrender some, surrender all. Then you will be filled with faith, affirmation, and confidence.
(6) So then, we can say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What will man do to me?" Hebrews 13:6 LEB
Brethren keep the faith today by declaring your allegiance and total surrender to God’s will, God’s word, and God’s way and start living in the Joy of the Lord knowing he shall never leave us or forsake us.
