It is not just the KJV Bible I am saying is perfect, but the Biblical canon. That means that any translation that doesn't include every word of the established canon has reopened the canon. The Geneva Bible didn't remove part of the canon. I don't think the NKJV Bible removed part of the canon. As such, I am not suggesting that every other translation is guilty of this, but I am charging every translation that removes part of the text originally considered canon as re-opening it, and those who did this and promote this will have to give an account to God for removing part of his Word.
As far as the Apocrypha goes, it should be restored, exactly as it was in the 1611 KJV Bible, in the center. It was translated, but never considered canon. I have a 1611 KJV Bible, so I am very much aware of it being there. Speaking of the Apocrypha, if we are going to defend removing part of the canon because you claim it was in error, perhaps we should consider adding the Apocrypha for real? The canon is open anyway. Why only remove text? Why not add text? At least the conversation should be considered by those who defend removal of portions of the text to correct so-called errors. When the KJV translators were defending other translations, they weren't dealing with versions that were removing portions of the text considered canon. They were defending the Geneva Bible. I could defend that, though I prefer the KJV Bible.
You wouldn't dare lift up a single translation, but what you will do instead, with no authority from God, is defend removal of part of the Biblical text. I would be terrified to do that for any reason. You are bothered by those who would even look at extra-Biblical books, as you consider them dangerous, but have no problem with calling into question whether 1 John 5:7 belongs in the Bible or Mark 16:9-20. It seems you are okay with removing text, but not adding to it.

I wash my hands of this thread. I'm moving on to more important things. "For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified." - 1 Corinthians 2:2
"And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires." - Galatians 5:24
"I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh." - Galatians 5:16
"And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness." - Romans 8:10
"So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God." - Romans 8:8
"But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His." - Romans 8:9

A good thought , a wonderful reminder just came so strong . I honestly do not trust a thing men say . I never look to scholars or any to prove if my bible is correct or not . I JUST KNEW BY GRACE , the TRUTH when I read it . LIKE a simple child . I don't need any scholar to support or attack the kjb. I KNOW ITS truth , no matter if they support it or don't . The peace of knowing Christ , surpasses all the knowledge of men gone mad . I do not need anyone to back up the bible as truth , FOR ME to BELEIVE ITS TRUTH And it wont and don't matter what scholars or any says , BY grace I just know truth when I hear it or read it . Like a simple child . BUT THIS IS ALSO why I warn heavy against many of the newer versions . I have never had peace in them . Now I want us to really ponder on that . Even as a new born I never had peace if anyone was teaching an error, EVEN if I did not yet know THEY WERE FALSE . YET I HAD PEACE and Great edification when I read the kjb . BY grace , I know the work of grace . AND THAT was the WORK OF GRACE. I did not cause me to be changed , I did not put a LOVE of TRUTH ON MY HEART . GOD DID . AND HE ALONE kept me safe from day one . THE CREDIT ALL GOES TO GOD . But again , WHY did I have no peace , no edification WHEN I read other versions , or when I sat in dead sermon churches, YET great peace , great edification , WHEN I read the KJB. I KNOW WHY . GOD KEPT and KEEPS ME , and HE ALONE put grace within my heart . I warn us all, I would personally put down other verisons and at least get very acquaitend with the KJB. YOU DO THAT , AND SEE for yourselves WHAT HAPPENS . IN other words , you don't have to take my word for it , I am asking you to take the KJB daily reading test for yourselves . READ only it for a good long while , AND WATCH what happens . JUST DO IT . WE need to quit striving over this . SO put this to the test . READ the kjb for a few hours daily , DO IT for a month a year , JUST WATCH how easy it will be to spot errors in time in other versions . AND PRAY about it while you read it . Just watch . Lets do this . You all are loved.

or is the King James translation the perfect standard by which all subsequent translations should be measured, such that anything that is found in the King James translation is certainly correct and supposed to be there, and any translation that doesn't use the same words or that omits some words or passages has therefore been deliberately corrupted? Is the King James Translation the standard of perfection, without any error whatsoever, by which all other translations are to be judged and deemed acceptable or damnable, or should we base our judgment on what the majority of the earliest manuscripts read?
I am not exalting or recommending any Bible translation over the other...
But when a Spiritual truth is omitted just for the sake of possibly being closer to the "original", it is something to be aware of.
I do not read the KJV, I know very little about it...
KJV is only important in English speaking countries, the most trusted translation in my country has nothing to do with KJV as far as I know.
And they still are very close to the other. Just that.
And newer updates of that same translation also excluded texts. For what reason?! God knows.
And they seem to be working hard to promote those updated versions, and condemn the older translations as being "inaccurate".
And soon, the older translations will become obsolete here as well... And I can say that such practice is completely unnecessary.
Really, why?!
When you talk to me, I do not care what Bible translation you use... But if you ask me, I cannot recommend you many of the newer translations.
It is true that people can get to the knowledge of the truth by reading those bibles... But I will never agree of omitting important parts like that.
Thank you for taking your time to write a very long post. Appreciated!
God bless you in Jesus' name! This is something you said earlier I had wanted to comment on. It is such an important point. This isn't just about the KJV Bible. It is about how Satan is messing with certain parts of the Biblical text in many modern translations, causing confusion and questions over whether we can trust our Bible. I know some people that run a Christian book store, and they only sell KJV Bibles in English, but they also carry a Spanish Bible that has the complete text based on the textus receptus. In the Spanish language, they are having the same issues. There are new translations leaving out part of the original text. This is not of God, and it is very serious. It is not a minor thing to remove part of God's Word from the Bible.

It is not a minor thing to remove part of God's Word from the Bible. Definitely..."For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book." - Revelation 22:18-19 It clearly tells that removing is very, very serious.

(Just thought I'd repost this.) Now think about this, brothers and sisters:
On the Day of Judgment, do you think Jesus Christ is going to care whether you used the King James translation, or the English Standard, or the American Standard, or the New International, or is He going to be concerned with whether you knew what He taught and wanted of you and obeyed it and did it?
Is He going to be more concerned about the translation of His word that you used than whether you genuinely loved your brothers and sisters who didn't use the translation you used or share your beliefs about it, and how you treated them?
Is He going to be more concerned about the translation of the Bible you taught and preached from, or whether what you taught or preached was correct, (and whether you practiced what you preached)?
Will He praise you for putting a disputable matter of personal faith before pursuing the things that make for peace and the building up of one another (Romans 14:19)?
Will He rebuke you for straining a gnat and swallowing a camel, as He did the scribes and the Pharisees, because of your emphasis on using a particular translation of the Bible above the things that He emphasizes in the New Testament? (Matthew 23:23,24)
If your brother or sister in Christ, who loves Him and desires to do what pleases Him as much as you do, is grieved by your dogmatism about a matter of personal faith that he or she does not share, does the Lord approve, or is He Himself grieved? (Matthew 25:40)
I recommend re-reading the fourteenth chapter of Romans and Romans 15:1-7, and Galatians 5:14-26, that you not be outwitted by the demons or tempted by the flesh into making a good thing that God intended to be used for building up (His written word), and for battling our spiritual adversaries, into a tool for destroying and a weapon for battling with your own brothers and fellow soldiers.
Unless someone's doctrine, conduct or attitude is crooked, you have no reason to find fault with them. (Or do you think Jesus thinks otherwise?) And if those 3 things are right---true to and consistent with the doctrine of the faith and the fruit of the Spirit of Christ---it makes no difference what translation of God's word they are using.
Who are you to judge the servant of another?WHO "breathed" TORAH (SCRIPTURE)? WHO "breathed" SCRIPTURE (TORAH)? WHO "writes" TORAH (without any mistake) ACCORDING TO ROMANS CHAPTER 2 ? (I'd almost bet that no one knows this without looking it up)

Who should be trusted ? The roman abomination/ catholicism, or the Creator Yahuweh (God) by grace through faith in Yahushua (Jesus), a gift also !

I trust that God preserved His Word in the KJV Bible as is stated in our Statement of Faith.
Yahuweh (God) has always guarded His Word, for all time. The statement of faith in all the churches/ groups/ including (?? or not) at (UN)wcf says that also ..... about His Word anyway, though not always KJV..... Yet we all have seen the errors propagated daily , every day, at (UN)wcf, and through the rcc, so the statement of faith is good testimony, but doesn't prevent widespread errors, does it ? So our confidence and faith all the time must be in Yahuweh (God) as He Pleases in Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior !

So there are no misunderstandings with our visitors, we do not require that everyone that joins Narrow Way Forums be KJV only, or that they post only from the KJV Bible. We are just saying that it is our official position that the KJV Bible is a perfect English translation, and all other translations are measured by it, meaning that if they contradict what the KJV Bible says, we go with the KJV Bible.
What is not allowed are attacks on the reliability of the KJV Bible or attacks on those who are KJV only. Posts like that are subject to removal or editing with no warning. tlsitd was never prohibited from using the translation of her choice and still is not. She is not under any restrictions and is not banned and could come back anytime she wishes. However, the same standards remain in place regarding how we will deal with attacks on the KJV Bible. Such posts are subject to removal, even if they are long and took hours to write. Our core beliefs can be found in the Statement of Faith under Message To Our Guests.
If by any chance tlsitd is reading this, I want you to know that you are most welcome here as you always have been and nothing from the past will be held against you.
