Exo 25:16 (16) And thou shalt put into the ark the testimony which I shall give thee.
Exo 31:18 (18) And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God.
Now we all know that it is the 10 commandments that was written on tables of stone, but what I find interesting is this, that it calls the 10 commandments, "The Testimony". not a testimony, but the definite article, testimony.
And also it calls the tables of stone, the tables of testimony.
Now I only did a little digging in this, but I would love to hear from the people, concerning in what way, it is referring the 10 commandments as being "the, the, the (definite article) testimony" ??

I found this verse
Exodus 26:33 King James Version 33 And thou shalt hang up the vail under the taches, that thou mayest bring in thither within the vail the ark of the testimony: and the vail shall divide unto you between the holy place and the most holy.
The ten commandments are the testimony of God because they are testifying to God's holiness and that the people are to be a set apart nation.
God is so Holy, that the people were to create a vail of separation between the holy and the Holy of Holies.
Jesus' crucifixion tore this vail. Which means He gives us access to God in all His Holiness and fulfills perfectly God's holy standards.
There is also a vail over some people's hearts when they read the law of Moses.
2 Corinthians 3:13-15 King James Version 13 And not as Moses, which put a veil over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:
14 But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.
15 But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.

I love this.
