SIMPLE TRUTH
(3) Commit your works unto the LORD, and your thoughts shall be established. Proverbs 16:3 In the New Covenant we have the luxury of being led by the Holy Spirit; in the Old Covenant they were instructed by the law, priests, and prophets concerning the will of God. Yet all scripture is profitable for instruction for our lives. Let us commit our works unto the Lord so our thoughts can be established in and through him. Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. Proverbs 3:5 Shouldn’t we obey the scriptural wisdom found in proverbs about the difference between natural and spiritual understanding. (3) Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. (4) Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. (5) Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. (6) And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday. Psalms 37:3-6 Trusting God and committing our ways to him is faith in action; it pronounces that I commit to walk by what God says and not what I see. When our delight is the Lord and we trust him with all our hearts that means we don’t give any room for doubt to inhabit our thoughts. Thus total peace is the result. (3) Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. (4) Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength: Isaiah 26:3-4 D. Ray Ritchie (Emissary) >{{{{{{{*>
