Jhn 15:4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

"As the Father has loved Me, so have I loved you. Abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love." (John 15:9,10)
And now, little children, abide in Him, so that when He appears we may have confidence and not shrink from Him in shame at His coming. (1 John 2:28)
Let what you heard from the beginning abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, then you too will abide in the Son and in the Father. And this is the promise that He made to us---eternal life. (1 John 2:24,25)

Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son. (2 John 1:9)

John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
John 15:6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
John 15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

Looks like I am late to the table on this one and yall already got all the choice pieces so i came up with this one. not exactly the same abide but when you consider Hosea was to be a Christ type to the people, a living ministry for example it makes sense...
Hos_3:3 And I said unto her, Thou shalt abide for me many days; thou shalt not play the harlot, and thou shalt not be for another man: so will I also be for thee.

Oh, this is no less choice than the other morsels! It's speaking of wilderness, her time of wilderness.......come out of her my people that you do not partake of Babylon's sins (spiritual adultery, idolatry, fornication). Wilderness is the time of betrothal (espousal) where the wife forsakes all others (minsters, pastors, churches that she was in spiritual adultery with, aka idolatry) and repents and keeps herself for only Christ. The betrothal is kind of a time of limbo and enduring...a time of purification of her past errors. And how wonderful the promise of the words, when the Husband is finally told "Go, show your love to your wife again!". 2Co 11:2
For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.(This was in context of Paul trying to keep the Bride/Church from the wolves who sought to exploit her, and trying to keep her from loving to have it so.) Sng 8:5
Friends: Who is this coming up from the wilderness leaning on her beloved? She: Under the apple tree I roused you; there your mother conceived you, there she who was in labor gave you birth.

Psa 131:2 But I have calmed and quieted myself, I am like a weaned child with its mother; like a weaned child I am content.
Weaned from mother church (Egypt/Babylon - church/Israel in captivity and error).....which had kept the child labouring hard. Weaned (matured) and finally at REST.

But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up ( bondage/slavery) unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed (new way of the spirit, not old way of the letter) .
Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
Gal 4:1-3
Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant (slave) , though he be lord of all; But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.
Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage (slavery) under the elements of the world: Gal 4:9
But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?
Gal 4:29-31
But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.
Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman.
So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free.Gal 2:4-6
And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage:
To whom we gave place by subjection, no, not for an hour; that the truth of the gospel might continue with you.
But of these who seemed to be somewhat, (whatsoever they were, it maketh no matter to me: God accepteth no man's person): for they who seemed to be somewhat in conference added nothing to me
There is nothing new under the sun, and this is still something that needs to come out of (be weaned off of/grown out of) and warned against and fought against in the church. Unfortunately it even seems to be the path taken by many if not most after coming to faith in Christ: Gal 3:2-3
This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh (letter) ?
The root of the problem is still the same: Gal 1:10-11 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ. But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
