OK, I have seen people who do everything shouting, or with a loud voice...
they will pray shouting, they will read the Bible shouting, and it seems they cannot do it differently.
My problem is the opposite, I almost do not speak audibly let alone shout.
OK, when I talk to someone I speak normally, just as any normal people with do... But I have difficult in expressing myself in real time.
But when it comes to praying and reading... I do not do it in an audibly manner, it is like I speak inwardly; I just move my lips.
I enjoy being alone and to think during the day, especially about spiritual matters.
And I like to be in a calm, silent place.
I have tried to pray audibly... But it is not the same thing, it is very hard to do...
It is like I feel distracted or disoriented... I have tried, and it is very hard.
I have no doubt God hears my prayers; but I can tell you it is hard being like this.
I have noticed that some people seem so worried that they even doubt your salvation if you do not shout or speak in tongues.
I feel so comfortable, so happy while thinking about heavenly things sometimes.
I experience so much peace and comfort when I am sharing my problems and thinking about the Lord inwardly.
I feel a so immense love, that really encourages me every single day.
I have never been in a situation that I had to pray audibly or shouting.
But if it happens someday... It will likely be a fast one and with faith, or according to the words given to me.
I am not the type of person who talks too much, especially when among not well known people.
I have had some moments of extroversion and I can shout and speak loudly... but it is not something that is activated so easily...
when it happened I always was among very well known people and doing and talking about things I knew.
And I seek to be sincere when it comes to my behavior...
I prefer to do things out of faith working through love, and not pressure.
Do you think I have a problem?! Do I need to change?!
Your opinions are welcome!
God bless you in Jesus' name!

God bless you in Jesus' name! No, there's nothing wrong with you. Don't let your own faith practice be dictated by what other people do or say tell you that you should do. What may be genuine and born of a personal conviction in the case of one person would be phony if done by another. God dictates to each believer's heart how they should do what they do. That's faith. If it doesn't violate God's word in some way, you must do as your conscience toward the Lord directs, not as other people tell you you should. Don't imitate other people; that's acting. God does not want actors. And don't let someone else rob you of your joy in your walk with Jesus by insisting on you doing something their way when He has given you no such conviction. It's not necessary, and it's not what God wants. People sometimes feel very strongly about certain practices of their church or denomination, or personal convictions of theirs, and they may try to force those things on other Christians. But that is not faith. If you yourself don't have any personal conviction from the Lord to do or not do something that another Christian is telling you that you must do in a certain way, you shouldn't do it. We should only do what we do, as far as matters of personal faith are concerned, because we know that it is something that God wants us to do and that it is pleasing to Him, not merely because someone else thinks we should. Not that we shouldn't consider the advice or convictions of other Christians about things; it may be something that the Lord has taught them that He has not yet taught us, and which we should apply to our own faith practice because it is right and pleasing to God. But only with careful consideration and prayer, and because we ourselves are personally convinced that the same is right for us to do, and have the peace of the Spirit about it. Only what is of faith pleases God. Religion without personal faith to do whatever we are doing does not please Him (with regard to personal faith in matters about which we do not have express commands or instructions in the Scriptures, and also the personal application of what is written when the instructions are not specific). Romans 14 Philippians 4:6,7

I can relate to what you shared. I am not one of many words. I am more able to express things in written form. I do not pray often in a group of people, yet I enjoy conversation about Him and the Bible. I do often go about my day in silence, but I can often be found talking/conversing with the Lord while doing chores, or being outdoors alone (with the animals, etc). Many times, my prayer time is more from the heart... and tears roll ... then words come... and when words aren't there, Holy Spirit knows the words. But for the most part, I am a silent person and I also enjoy solitude. That is not to say I'm always alone.. as I have my children (at least one or two) with me almost always... not always in the same room, though. I may seem to some as uninterested or even not as book-learned... but I do not speak until I feel the Lord moving me and giving me the words. Those times are more power-packed and more meaningful ... when you know it isn't coming from yourself, but from Holy Spirit unction.
When I pray, it is usually not with a lot of fancy words ... and not loud... certainly, not shouting. I have shouted before (in a church service) ... actually, on several occasions ... because the power and presence of God was so strong, I couldn't contain the joy or keep it locked inside ... but most often, I am moved to deep gratitude, and thus, tears upon tears ... not a lot of words... many times, because of the tears/weeping, people get the wrong idea and think they should come pray over me. (Please don't do that to people unless you KNOW it is God's leading!! ...you may be interrupting a very powerful prayer time of Holy Spirit ministering one-on-one with the heart and spirit of a person!!)

Ok so look around you at groups of people ( especially when they are meeting in places like an airport ) … some will be loud to the point of being obnoxious to others, shouting and jumping around and hugging each other whilst other groups may smile and nod in silence or hug and speak quietly or even cry as they look at each other Each group expresses their emotions in different ways and you will even find some within each group that don't look comfortable with the way the others are behaving. Different people handle and react to joy in different ways ...who is to say that one way is " right " and another is "wrong "? BE YOURSELF then at least God knows who you are \O/

There is nothing wrong with you. That is just your personality. God made you that way. I have heard people try to defend sinful practices by claiming God made them that way, and I would never do that, but what you are describing is just that God made you to be a quiet person. God looks at your heart when you are praying or worshipping. He isn't concerned that you may not jump up and down and shout all the time. There are many that will do that because they are so full of the joy of the Lord, they can't help themselves, but some do that for show. There are ministers that learn to behave that way because the excitement will lead to large crowds. Just be yourself. It is like what we were discussing in the Bible study about talents. God gifts us all in different ways, and we should use the talents we got according to our ability, not based on how others do things.

It seems I have to practice it more; just decided to give it a try today (not too loud, just about normal).
Initially, it is not the same thing and feeling I get when praying silently.
Words are hard to come out, it seems I get distracted with my own voice and I end up lost, and there is also some anxiety.
It may seem strange for some but to speak audibly is not something I do very often.
But it seems it is just a matter of practicing and building up faith to do it more naturally.
"For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance..." - Matthew 13:12
God bless you all in Jesus' name!

I have just came to a conclusion: To pray aloud is not for me. Especially for a long time.

Ecc 9:17 The words of wise men are heard in quiet more than the cry of him that ruleth among fools.
