Why is pornography so dangerous? What are the keys to victory over pornography?
What does the Bible say about pornography? Why is pornography so addictive? How can an addiction to pornography be overcome? A conversation with Jonathan Daugherty of Be Broken Ministries.

Pornography is dangerous to the soul because it stirs feelings of lust. It is all acting so it creates unrealistic expectations and desire for perverted sex practices. It is not harmless. Jesus is the cure for sin. I don't buy into the idea that once you are an addict, you are always an addict. He that the Son sets free is free indeed. I think that when we engage in sin, we open the door for demonic oppression and even possession in some cases, and what keeps people in bondage is the effects of the demonic. Resist. Trust in Jesus. Take authority over the demons and understand your position as a new creature in Christ Jesus.

Amen...it's a major temptation...which we're told to flee from, rather than exposing ourselves to it. Also in the OT it says "I will put before my eyes no unclean thing." I think addiction/bondage really can be God's mercy through chastisement.....like filling the Israelite's faces full of the quail they had lusted for until they were good and sick of it and learned their lesson.
One danger of continuing in sin of any kind is that of one's conscience becoming desensitized (hardened/seared), so that the person no longer has any qualms of conscience about it....that's a dangerous place to be in.
This is a more difficult issue for men than women generally, because of the biological reality of being male, so the devil really tries to exploit that. But also the masculinity of men at the same time may give them a built in strength to fight and resist it I believe....Paul said he beat his body to make it his slave. If it's any encouragement to the guys out there, there's hardly anything more manly than a man who is in command of himself and refuses to exploit women.
