INSPIRATION
Enthusiasm: 1 a : belief in special revelations of the Holy Spirit.
2 a : strong excitement of feeling: something inspiring zeal or fervor.
When inspiration wanes because our enthusiasm for God grows cold because of trials, hardships, or persecutions we need to be re-fueled and re-fired through prayer.
I have observed the dimming of visions and the subsequent defeat of those whom once were excited about the work God had given them. One reason for them giving in and giving up was the fact they abandoned their prayer life, its not enough to study the word and communicate it, one must have an intimate relationship with the author. Vision and knowledge are very important concerning our walk and work in the Kingdom of God, but without that personal relationship with the Father even the best laid plans and purposes will fail.
The word enthuse is derived from the Greek word “ entheos “, en ( in ) theos ( God ). It therefore is a term of intimacy, enthusiasm births divine inspiration, prayer develops a relationship which causes the ability to discern, understand, and apply the revelations of scripture. Enlightenment is the result of our relationship with God. This is also the birthplace of vision as well as knowledge stemming from the spiritual experience in the presence of the Lord. Without prayer our walk and work is spiritless and does not yield the fruits of righteousness. God is a Spirit and we must worship him in Spirit and in Truth. In his presence we will find direction, grace, peace, and rest.
(12) And Moses said to Yahweh, Behold, You say to me, Bring up this people. And You have not told me whom You will send with me. Yet You have said, I know you by name, and you have also found grace in My sight.
(13) Now therefore, I pray You, if I have found grace in Your sight, make me see now Your ways, that I may know You, that I may find grace in Your sight. And consider that this nation is Your people.
(14) And He said, My presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest.
(15) And he said to Him, If Your presence does not go with me, do not carry us up from here.
(16) For in what shall it be known that I and Your people have found grace in Your sight? Is it not in that You go with us? So we shall be separated, I and Your people, from all the people that are upon the face of the earth.
(17) And Yahweh said to Moses, I will do this thing also that you have spoken. For you have found grace in My sight, and I know you by name. Exodus 33:12-17
We should see the example sat before us in this dialogue between God and Moses. When in the presence of God we find his will, we will also find that his presence will manifest in our lives and ministries. His anointing will be seen where his will is carried out. He will only sanction what he has called by his will and will not sanction what we do in and of ourselves. If our Vision is not from God it will lack the knowledge and anointing of God, but sometimes it will wane in its inspiration and enthusiasm because of a lack of prayer. This is dangerous to the work God has called us to.
(6) My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. Hosea 4:6 KJV
Revelation knowledge must be sought in order to accomplish the call. When we forget the principles, precepts, and protocols of the Word of God, He is not obligated to recognize our walk and work in fulfilling it.
(18) Where there is no vision, the people perish; but he who keeps the law, he is blessed. Proverbs 29:18 MKJV
I again emphasize the importance of prayer concerning vision, knowledge, and application. When we fail to strengthen our relationship through prayer, that is conversing or communicating with God, we are on the road to becoming discouraged and defeated.
Brethren keep the faith today by staying enthusiastic in prayer, which will give fire to being inspired, and motivated to complete the task God has assigned to you. Never forsake prayer, and you will increase in understanding which will help to build the vision through revelation knowledge. Keep the Faith, and the Faith will Keep You! Selah!
Shalom, Agape, & Amen!
