QUIT?
Wonder if one could truly take an account of how many times the word quit comes into the minds of every Christian doing the will of God for their lives. The number would be phenomenal, Why? Because it is one of the favorite words of our enemies to inject into our minds. But the exhortation of the Lord is:
But we should not lose heart in well-doing, for in due season we shall reap, if we do not faint. (Galatians 6:9)
Sometimes we get into a situation or circumstance where we are doing our own thing, and when that happens more times than not, we become irritated, agitated, and frustrated by the results. We cannot discern that the opposition against us is in fact because we are out of the will of God. The word quit what you are doing often is the unction of the Lord, but we fail to heed his voice.
However, opposition can also be an indication we are in his will too, and the word quit is an injection by the demonic realm into our mentality to cease from doing the work. God guided work is the means by which the kingdom of darkness is pushed back and defeated. God gifts are sanctioned by the sense of a peace within which transcends our comprehension. But is fiercely assaulted by acts of spiritual warfare by the enemy of our soul and of our Heavenly Father.
Each commission which is assigned to us has the will and purpose of God attached to it. Those Commissions which are for our individual lives are for the purpose of bringing glory, honor, and praise to our God, not ourselves. Once we are achieving those God guided goals the enemies begins the tactic of shooting fiery darts of doubt, unbelief, and defeat into our minds. The word quit often appears in our mentality because we sometimes wave the flag of failure. Once the mindset of failure clasps a stronghold on us; the phrase “ I’m a failure “ has free course and it is not long before we are ready to quit.
I remember a song we use to sing early in my life in Christ, one phrase goes like this “ The battle’s not mine said little David, Lord its thine and I’m in your favor, the battle’s not mine, I’m leaving it to you “. We need to remember if it is the Lord’s will, it is the Lord’s battle. He will supernaturally strengthen us to stand in the power of his might and allow him to fight the battle through us.
(2) preach the Word, be instant in season and out of season, reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long-suffering and doctrine.
(3) For a time will be when they will not endure sound doctrine, but they will heap up teachers to themselves according to their own lusts, tickling the ear.
(4) And they will turn away their ears from the truth and will be turned to myths.
(5) But you watch in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fully carry out your ministry. 2nd Timothy 4:2-5
PRAY: ask God if you are in his perfect will.
PUT ON THE HELMET OF SALVATION: guard your mind against the fiery darts of doubt, unbelief, and failure.
MARCH: put on the shoes of the gospel of peace and go forward to the battle.
PROTECT YOUR CALLING: take the shield of faith that does not have to see with human perception, but protects with spiritual perspective.
BELIEVE: put your trust in Jesus the Author and Finisher of your Faith
Brethren keep the faith today by knowing what the will of the Lord is and by remembering the battle is the Lord’s. But also remember “ Quiters never Win, and Winners never Quit “. Selah!
Shalom, Agape, & Amen,
