I am not posting this to beat up a man who has died. I came across this and similar videos after the death of Billy Graham while I was looking for sermons by him to watch. I have never seen a Billy Graham message, so I thought I would take the time to look at one, and then I saw things about him that shocked me. The comments he made to Robert Schuler near the end were all I needed to know he was a false teacher. There is only one way to be saved, and that is through faith in Jesus. His questioning about literal fire in hell shows lack of trust in the Bible. Some of the things on the video were speculation and exaggeration. Nobody has proven he was a Mason, and his official view of abortion is that he is pro-life except in cases of rape and incest. I don't get the rape and incest exceptions, as a baby is a baby, and there are people waiting to adopt, but all the video says is that Graham supports abortion rights. That is technically true in those two cases. I was surprised he compared his view to the view of the RCC. Why do that? I do apologize for the Katy Couric picture where she makes an obscene gesture. It was not necessary to tell the story, but I feel the overall content of the video is worth seeing.

There are many who know that Billy Graham was a false teacher. Too many though are afraid to say something. This is why we must be careful in elevating fallible men up on a pedestal. He was also very much into the ecumenical movement. He was in bed with the RCC.

My dad became a Christian because of his televised sermons and over time my step-mother got saved and then me. However, what Billy Graham did was far worse. His "1,2,3, pray after me. NEXT!" formula has created the worst set of people - stillborn Christians. People who prayed a formulaic prayer to buy false fire insurance. If the number of people saved (as they claim) would have transformed America, but instead, the statistics show since his evangelism it only made America much worse. Today, people haven't heard the good news - what happened to all those saved parents? Nothing. No change of heart, no real salvation. Very sad. Today we have apologetics trolls that flood these forums and debate for sport. It breaks my heart.

Thank the Lord for those who did get saved as a result of his ministry, but he did do a lot of harm. I was shocked by what I learned about him, and saddened as well. I didn't set out to find bad things about him.

The truth will always come out.
