Thank you Butero for inviting me to join this fellowship and to all those who have been so kind.
Just for those that do not yet know me I am mum of 5 (two no longer with me ) , grandmother of 10 and greatgrandmother of 1 I love animals and have 4 rescue dogs and have fostered over 400 more These days I no longer foster ( the rescue I fostered for is going in a direction I cannot support ) but do home boarding for dogs I also bake 4f cakes ( family friends favours and fundraising ) so keep pretty busy.
If my sense of humour feels a bit weird it is because I am Welsh and we do have an " off beat " sense of humour often using it in times when we are under great stress
I came to know my Saviour in a very real and very personal way when I was close to death in my late teens and have relied on God and Christ so many many times in my life when NOTHING else would get me through the hard times and know that without my faith I would be totally lost
The other thing that you may need to know is that God gave me two eyes and ears and only one mouth so although I may not post often I read and pray through it all so if you ask for opinions or prayers be sure that I am praying even if I do not post.
May God bless this fellowship and all our endeavours to bring His light into the world xxxxxx

Thank you for sharing ladypeartree. You must have a heart of gold to have helped all those animals. I love animals too, but only have one dog. He's a blue heeler. I just told him off because he dug a hole in my new garden bed.
I am a mum too with three children aged 26, 17 & 15. I have one grandson who is 3, and his baby sister is due any day now.
I was called to know the Lord when I was 12, but a whole series of events happened afterwards. For me it was a slow gradual learning process, with a lot of mistakes to be made and learn't from on the way.
Praise the Lord for calling us into his glorious kingdom, he is so patient with us, and full of mercy.

Something unusual happened this afternoon. I forgot to mention that my youngest daughter took in 5 canaries about 4 years ago and promised to look after them. She was doing well for about a year, then I noticed one summer that they all looked dehydrated and I asked her when was the last time she fed them and gave them fresh water? She said she didn't know. I was so angry with her, I arranged for my dad to come take them. He came straight away, being an animal lover, and when I tried to get the canaries out of the cage they all flew out. The reasonably large cage was inside so I managed to retrieve them all except one got outside. There are a lot of magpies where I live and crows so I knew he wasn't coming back. I took the empty cage outside and tried to un attach the 2 nests there and as they dropped I saw three hatchlings fall that I didn't know about. I picked two of them up and the third one I couldn't find. I had to take my daughter somewhere and we were running late. She was hassling me to hurry, so I left it with my dad. He said he couldn't find the third one, and it was too dark. By the next day I looked for it and it was dead. My heart absolutely broke. I rang my dad and said I want the birds back. After all that fuss in getting them out of his cage, I made a promise that I was never going to let these birds get neglected ever again. The two hatchlings survived, and I would watch the parents feed them constantly in amazement. They had 3 more babies after that. Now they are my babies, and I have names for each of them. I give them fresh water every day and love watching them bath. I also give them dry seed, and sweet potato leaf, and pick them fresh grass seeds everyday. I am like a god to them, and they get excited watching me collect their feed. 2 of the males make kissing noises back to me sometimes as if to say thank you. I say food from the Lord guys.
Their left over seed I feed to the doves who await eagerly each day for their meal. Their droppings I noticed make my soil real rich. Sometimes if my backdoor is opened they fly in looking for more food and can't get back out. I don't have a screen because it's a bi-fold door. They are quite stupid really, can't work out how to fly down and go out the door, but keep trying to fly through the window. This annoys me, because it's a gable room with a high ceiling, and I have such a hassle of getting them down again with the net. I have to climb up to this ledge and try not to fall in the meantime. When I catch them I give them a big kiss, but it's so annoying.
Today it happened again, and I said in my head to this bird, I command you to come down, as I am just not in the mood for this. This cute dove just flew across the room to the lower ledge. I looked around and found a plastic coat hanger lying around. I lifted it up to the bird and he just jumped on to it so casually. I walked it outside, and off he flew. Just like that. Thanks for the help Lord.

Praise the Lord, Sister! I love the small ways He answers prayers. Sometimes those are more amazing than the big miracles.
