There is no addiction or temptation that a human being can have that God doesn't know about and isn't able to heal a person of or to enable him or her to endure. He is able to heal every affliction, and His grace is sufficient for everything that He desires us to do. There are times when it is His will to heal, and He can heal us of anything we might suffer from, whether it is a mental affliction, or spiritual, or physical. There are times when it is not His will to remove something from us, in which case His grace is sufficient to help us to endure it. And His grace is greater than any temptation we can face.
There are Christians who God has delivered from homosexuality, from various addictions, from psychological issues. Nothing is beyond His power. There is nothing in this world that can compel any Christian to sin: God's grace is always greater than any temptation to sin; we just have to ask Him for it and use it. His will for every Christian is different, but this is true for all Christians. Nothing can compel a man or woman who is in Christ to sin, over the grace of God.
He or she may be oppressed by a demon that provokes him or her to do a thing, but still this is nothing that God cannot help that person to overcome. The demons obey His command. He might be allowing a demon to oppress the person because that person is doing something sinful that God wants him or her to repent of. The solution in that case is for the person to repent of whatever he or she is doing.
Sometimes a person might be putting God to the test by doing something or putting him or herself in a situation that he or she knows has the potential to tempt him or her into sin, in which case God's word tells us to remove the temptation from us---to cut off and cast away whatever is a potential snare to us. If you know that every time you get online you're tempted to look at filthy things, for example, it would be wise for you to not use the internet, except when absolutely necessary---and then with prayer for God to keep you.
To ask God for grace to overcome a temptation when we are choosing to put ourselves in the way of a temptation that could be avoided is testing God. He tells us what to do about such things---avoid them; give no opportunity to the devil. What we choose to do and to allow shows what is in our heart: It is our own desire that draws us toward evil, and if we are making provision for evil in our lives, it shows that we really don't hate it, but that part of us wants it. If we don't acknowledge that desire, and ask God to help us to put it to death and to give us His desire instead, we're not going to overcome it---because we really don't want to, and God knows it. When we really do want to overcome something, we are willing to do whatever we have to do, and are not reluctant about it. God wants and waits for that sincerity to act.
This goes for bad company as well. If you know that the people you associate with are going to be encouraging you to do things that you know don't please the Lord, and that you're likely to do those things when you're with them, stop spending time with them. If you know this, and choose to do it anyway, you are choosing your friends over Jesus Christ, which proves that you really love yourself and your friends more than Him.
As for addiction, I have personal experience with it: I had a severe eating disorder (bulimarexia and orthorexia) for many years, as well as chronic anxiety and depression, before the Lord saved me. There was nothing any treatment program or medication or therapist could do to help me, and I attempted suicide more than once in despair, nearly succeeding the first time. If there was ever anyone who was addicted to anything, I was addicted to that eating disorder. And anyone who knows about eating disorders knows how difficult they are to recover from, and how they are often fatal.
But God is able. When Jesus saved me, He also healed me instantly of all of those afflictions: The eating disorder, the anxiety and the depression. They went out of me like a candle being snuffed out, and have never returned.
I realize that He doesn't do this for everyone; some people have to battle with various issues their whole lives, because God isn't pleased to remove it from them, even though He is able to. There are things that He has given me which He has not been pleased to remove from me. But in such cases, His grace is sufficient to endure them, and the person can and should rely on that grace to do so, since that is His will for them. There is no weakness or affliction that God's grace is not greater than, to enable us to do His will in spite of it.
No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation He will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. (1 Corinthians 10:13)
For because He Himself has suffered when tempted, He is able to help those who are being tempted. (Hebrews 2:18)
For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. (Hebrews 4:15,16)
So to keep me from being too elated by the surpassing greatness of the revelations, a thorn was given me in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to harass me, to keep me from being too elated. Three times I pleaded with the Lord about this, that it should leave me. But He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong. (2 Corinthians 12:7-10)
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose. For those whom He foreknew He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son... (Romans 8:28,29)
For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. (1 John 5:4)

If you know that every time you get online you're tempted to look at filthy things, for example, it would be wise for you to not use the internet, except when absolutely necessary---and then with prayer for God to keep you. Not only that, but I believe the problem needs to be addressed.
Especially nowadays, when people have to use internet and it is available in nearly every place.
The person needs more love, more knowledge of truth and self control, obedience to God commandments is always done through love.
The person must be willing to receive more of this love from God (the Holy Spirit), so that they can be able to choose to obey Him, by faith.
"Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed." - John 8:36
"...Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, Says the Lord of hosts." - Zechariah 4:6
Because knowledge without love is unfruitful. The person can know the whole Bible from memory, every mystery and the interpretation of all things...
but if they do not love what is there then they will be unable to bring it to life.
"For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also." - James 2:26
"And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing." - 1 Corinthians 13:2
"...but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it." - Hebrews 4:2
"For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love." - Galatians 5:6
Blessings to you all in Jesus' name!

Very true; and that love comes from God Himself. All true Christians have that love by the Spirit---but they can become hardened against it by choosing to sin. The more a Christian chooses to follow the desires of the sinful nature and to indulge in sin, the more he or she will love sin and the less he or she will love God's written word, because that word condemns and prohibits sin. If you love a sin, you're going to hate and avoid any word that convicts you of it and condemns you for it or prevents you from being able to do it. This is the reason why many Christians do not want to hear sound doctrine; they love themselves and they don't hate sin. "And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold." (Matthew 24:12)

FOR the LOVE that comes from GOD , REJOICES IN TRUTH , not inquity , TRUTH . OH , let the lambs get built up IN HIM , sound doctrine of His wholesome words that pertain to godliness . Feast on those bibles . HEED the HOLY SPIRIT . The final and darkest hour will be on the scene in no time flat . A wicked counsler will rise , the head of all evil will rise in unity with the world . A time of great betrayal is coming . The spirit of darkness is already increasing for this whole end time thing . And we will see it with our own eyes . Those churches that did all to promote unity the false kind , that spoke that word Love , the false kind more than anything . YOU WATCH THIER TEETH in time to come . Right now their teeth may seem as big smiling teeth that could not even harm a stick of butter. Wait till this whole move has run its course and FILLED them to the full, then LOOK at those teeth , BIG IRON ONES to shred any lamb OF GOD . We cant stop what is and is to come . ALL we can do is BY grace GET PREPARED IN CHRIST , SOUND DOCTRINE NOW . We must have no fear of death or to suffer for his name sake . OR sell out many will . What is coming , is coming and wont be stopped . ONLY JESUS himself will destroy this great evil weapon AT HIS COMING . many lambs , oh my the number will not even be able to be counted , will be killed . IF anyone wants me to put a specific time frame on this , I CANT , I can only say ITS at the door . Folks under these love unity false spells are more an more growing weary of the true lambs and their warnings , and why CAUSE the true lambs warnings EXPOSE their lies and their sins . And the world and sadly churches are now more and more just growing in anger against ones like us . AND don't let anyone have a niave thought , that this is going to get better, NO WAY and NO HOW , they will only hate us more and more and more and more TILL that hate has led them and given them the desires of their heart , A KING to rid the earth of all who exposed their dark deeds and sins . AND HE IS COMING , IT IS ON THE RISE NOW as we speak .

Amen sister Lights....and I rejoice with you regarding your deliverance, praise the Lord for His goodness and mighty power.
Let the lame be healed....lest they be turned out of the way. Often areas that still need healing in our hearts can cause us to walk and think askew of the truth, so it's not only desirable to be healed, it's often necessary. I am often praying for that for both myself and the church, because where the soul is in bondage in any area, it isn't free to grow and serve the Lord as well as it could.

There are more people with addictions and temptations that Yahuweh does not help than those who He does help. (re first sentence in op) The Promise of Yahuweh's Word in Yahushua Messiah is to all those who love (a choice, willingly, of their will) the Creator and are called according to His Purpose , as written in His Word. "Anyone", and "Who-so-ever", and "As Many As Call On the Name of The Lord" .... 'SHALL BE SAVED', is all conditional/ described in detail throughout all Scripture, as is all those who do not call on the Name of the Lord to be saved (those billions who reject Him and His Grace).... Thus, "A REMNANT" Yahuweh saves for Himself; otherwise everyone would perish without hope and there would be no one saved alive. "As a person thinks in their heart, so they are." is true with all other Scripture also, no contradiction ever. For instance, if a person "thinks in their heart" that they are saved, yet on Judgment Day is told go away, I never knew you, that means their heart was deceived, lied to, and they did not turn to Yahuweh to be truly saved, in line with all His Grace and Mercy and Justice and Judgment and the Atonement of the Messiah's Blood as written in His Word..... Therefore, as written in Hebrews, "BE terrified..." (the Ekklesia), lest any one be found to fall short - test(judge, appraise, verify) with each other daily, "if we judge ourselves TODAY, we won't be JUDGED LATER" .........

Eat thou not the bread of him that hath an evil eye, neither desire thou his dainty meats: For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee. — Proverbs 23:6-7
This has nothing to do with deceived hearts thinking they are saved.
A man “is” saved because he thinks he is, but really he is “not” because he was deceived, so he is and isn’t at the same time? And we arrive at this because of a sentence in Proverbs about frienemies?

People can be deceived into believing they are saved when they are not. They can deceive their own selves by choosing to believe a lie. Ministers can trick them into believing they are saved by doing things like having them sign a card saying they accepted the Lord, when they didn't even understand how to be saved. When I was in the Methodist Church, I thought I was saved by being confirmed into the church for a time, because people told me that was the case. It is possible for a person to be deceived.

People can be deceived into believing they are saved when they are not... Then how do you know you have not believed a lie?!
God is not the author of confusion, those who are deceived has no faith of their salvation (they are liars).
That means they trust in lies to think they are saved.
Doubtless assurance, certainty, that means faith, are given only by God.
There is no way you have received that from other source.
And those who never experienced it cannot discern it, because they do not know God.
Then they hold to their lies and think they are saved, that is believing in a lie... They never have perfect assurance of that salvation.
When God saves a person He makes it clear, very, very clear, that the person is being saved from a deception (knowledge of truth).
"...God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth." - 1 Timothy 2:3-4
If a person never experienced that, they were never saved.

Now every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven: but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Matthew 7:21-23
There will be a lot of people that think they are saved today that will find out they were not saved when they stand before God on the judgment day. I have known many in that condition. They were brainwashed by the "faith plus nothing" lie into thinking they are saved when they live like the devil. Do you think that all those RCC members that put their trust in Mary think they are lost? When they confess to a priest and take communion, they think that saves them. Of course a person can be deceived.

If I may come to Letters’ defense here, I think he means the difference between human assumption and supernatural revelation. There’s understanding the gospel and then there’s understanding the gospel. Those who understand it humanly can think that’s all there is and thus think it’s enough. They don’t know what they don’t know.
CS Lewis described it as a child who insists on staying home to play in mud because he can’t imagine what his parents mean when they say beach.

Do you think that all those RCC members that put their trust in Mary think they are lost? One thing I know: God never told them they were saved.
Ask any of them if they are sure, many will say yes, but they are lying. God never said to them they were saved.
They never received a perfect assurance of their salvation, as only God can give that as He is the only source of truth.
Those who are sincere will follow their conscience, hear the voice of the Holy Spirit and receive salvation.
But if they resist and insist in the lie...
"but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation..." - Mark 3:29
"who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and
served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen." - Romans 1:25
