That is sad to imagine a man beating the wife God gave them . And it sad when a women verbally abuses the man with whome she entered marriage . IF folks simply HONORED GOD above everything , the marriage would show this as each one lived for the other above themselves , and when either was in error the wife with fear could counsel the husband by the word in humbleness of mind . And the husband would be as Christ who loved the church and would correct . I had the worst sad thought when I read what Cletus said , the image of a man beating his wife just made me feel so heavy . And when sister Candace said what she did about the woman belittling the man , just heaviness when that image popped n my mind . Its a tragedy when either one wont LIVE FOR GOD FIRST , and HONOR HIM and by doing so would truly do what was best for the other .

What a lot of women do is, drive the man crazy until he runs out of the house screaming, hope he has an affair, and use it as grounds for getting more money in the divorce. Yes, women, I know what y'all do. You hit that nail fairly and squarely on the head. Then of course he is forced by law to pay child support. That way she can have her freedom, and always have a 'reason' for being a 'single mom'. She no doubt will broadcast far and wide what a heroine she is and what a 'marginal person' he was. Beautiful. She keeps all the household furniture and effects. He has a few shirts in his suitcase, and off he goes. A pastor told me I should just leave long before she booted me out. It is interesting that you have observed what few women will admit to. If they want an excuse, they might comb the scriptures looking until they find one, then use it. I do not think the scriptures should be used as a blunt instrument, but I do see that this happens often.

Let’s flip the paradigm on this. “What kind of woman says her husband’s paycheck isn’t good enough and then accuses him of cheating when he starts to avoid her? That aint a woman; it’s a five year old in a woman’s body.” That is a good point. When the woman who is supposed to be their help meet and closest companion in life constantly belittles and opposes them, it will lead to men turning elsewhere, but not necessarily having an affair. You have a lot of insight into things most are blind to.
