Yall know what is sad . This morning on the IS JESUS a jew post , I was telling just joe to praise the Lord and he called what I wrote bible spam . That was so sad . Maybe he will repent . I mean , if we omit praise to GOD , may as well omit the psalms and other places . I seem to remember a psalmist once said The praise of the LORD on his lips continually . not once a week in church , But continually . TRULY I am just so thankful GOD had mercy on this thing , I GOT ALL REASON TO REJOICE IN HIM at all times . THE JOY of the LORD is our strength and PRAISE THE LORD , HIS salvation IS OUR JOY . Some people are just trifling.

It takes a two-fold approach. They must repent of the behavioral patterns (and pray for God to give them spiritual sorrow unto repentance), and they must choose to believe what the Bible says. Sometimes it's a choice to believe the Bible in faith until we fully understand it. We must actively pursue the kind of mental attitude that reveres God's truth. Keep in mind what Paul said in Romans 1, that we can know the truth without valuing the truth, and this is where the mental trap-door is. Let's have another look at what Paul tells the brethren (all of us) later on in Romans 12: I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.Oh look, here's another connection between the sanctity of our bodies and the sanity of our minds. Whether or not we get so far as the depravity in Romans 1, all of us struggle with some degree of mental reprobation before God changes us. We all need transformed minds. I don't remember hearing it put that way, but I like that simple truth. We can know the truth without valuing the truth. As Esau didn't value his birthright, many don't value the cross or anything spiritual. They know of God, but of their own choice, do not retain God in their knowledge. If you go back a few verses, you will see other things it says about these individuals.
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; 19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. 20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: 21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. 24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves: 25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen 26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one towards another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient.
These are people that knew there was a God, as they recognized his existence by the creation. Still, they refused to acknowledge him. They did not give him the glory. They were not thankful. They were vain in their imaginations, which is where I would say men came up with stupid theories like evolution. Their heart became darkened because of this. They went around like great thinkers and intellectuals, making themselves out as wise, but they became fools in the sight of God. They began to be worshippers of God's creation, "Mother Earth." I think we see this in many of the environmental nuts. Part of the creation is men and women, and they began to be filled with lust, but not just for the opposite sex, but for the same sex as well. Since that is what they desired, God gave them up to what he calls, "vile affections," which is homosexual lusts. This gets us to the OP, where they did not want to retain God in their knowledge, so he gave them over to a reprobate mind to do whatever their wicked imaginations desired.
This is a really important topic, and I hope it will lead to anyone who is in this condition coming to repentance and turning to God with their whole heart. As you said, we are not talking about unpardonable sins. The blood of Christ is sufficient to wash away even this kind of iniquity.
When someone disregards God and turns to sinful behavior, there is a progression. Sin does not satisfy. One depravity leads to deeper and deeper depravity because they will never be satisfied with the things of the flesh. They're trying to satisfy a heart-longing that they believe will be satisfied in the flesh. When they finally realize that there is One who will satisfy every longing.... they wonder at its simplicity. Life in Christ is so simple a child can comprehend it.... simple faith.
John 4:9-14 9 Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.
10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water. 11 The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water? 12 Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle? 13 Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: 14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

Bible spam??? That is stupid beyond belief, but having dealt with things like absurd accusations in the past, he is likely trying to accuse you of a rules violation. As such, I wouldn't just write it off as a crazy comment. I also wouldn't be shocked if others didn't jump on his bandwagon and if they were taken serious. Beware, because there are real serpents over there.

This is the rest... in the following verses, we're given an example of depravity and how this woman was met with Jesus and her thirst was satisfied.
John 4:15-29 15 The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw.
16 Jesus saith unto her, Go, call thy husband, and come hither.
17 The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said unto her, Thou hast well said, I have no husband:
18 For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly.
19 The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.
20 Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.
21 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.
22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.
23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
24 God [is] a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship [him] in spirit and in truth.
25 The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.
26 Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am [he]. 27 And upon this came his disciples, and marvelled that he talked with the woman: yet no man said, What seekest thou? or, Why talkest thou with her?
28 The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men,
29 Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?

And yet many on worthy accuse some of us as preaching works save salvation . NOPE we preach JESUS SAVES SALVATION . ITS JUST faith without works , IS DEAD . And works without faith is DEATH . this very day i was accused of preaching repentance is wrong. works is wrong. they tried to say the gospel is just believe and receive. they said they detest the lordship salvation. i left a length list of scripture and asked if they detest scripture, and even the very words of Jesus. it was one of those threads where the mod has to approve your post... so I Pmed it to them also. just in case.
I do not know why people refuse to accept the importance of repentance. i guess that whole conviction and looking in the mirror is not forthcoming with feeling good.
Its a shame how much false teaching there is out there, how many scriptures are disregarded, when all scripture is God breathed.
Jesus never told anyone go and believe and receive, He said go and sin no more.

There are a lot of people being deceived and a lot of people in hell because of those kind of deceptions. We are just fine remaining in our sin and rejecting Jesus' Lordship according to the false teachers of our day. I wouldn't want to be in their place on the judgement day.

I was thinking about this topic from the standpoint of actual changes to our brain as a result of what we feed on. If we choose not to retain God in our knowledge, and choose science so called, philosophy, vain imaginations, or just worldly things instead, it does change our thought process, how our mind processes everything we see and come in contact with. If your mind processes information in a corrupt way, it becomes reprobate over time.
How does your mind get that way? It is the result of what you feed it. Just like a computer can get infected with a virus and it doesn't work right, the mind can become infected by evil thoughts that we fed it. A shortcut the world uses to try to fix this is re-programming the mind through hypnosis, feeding it suggestions to stop addictions and self-destructive behavior.
Once you recognize you have a problem from addiction to being completely reprobate, what is the cure? We all agree repentance is the first step, but how is the mind cured? You got that way by choosing not to retain God in your knowledge, but instead, you focused on other things, so now, you need to choose to retain God in your knowledge. How do you do that? By feeding on the Word of God in large doses. The Bible is the bread of life, our spiritual food. Do without natural food, you starve to death. Eat junk food you get sick. In the spiritual sense, get no Word, you die spiritually. Neglect the pure Word from the Bible and feed on junk food from people like Joyce Meyers, Kenneth Copeland, Joel Osteen, etc., and get sick. The cure for the reprobate mind would be changing your diet to the Word of God.
That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of the water by the word. Ephesians 5:26
That is what God wants to do for the church, and that washing comes through His Word. Is our mind dirty. Is it corrupt? Is it reprobate? The cure is good spiritual nutrition found in the pages of the Holy Bible. Change your diet, and you will change the condition of your mind. You can go from sick or even reprobate to healthy and clean.

To add to John’s awesome comment, I would also say we must feed on the word with an open heart and a good attitude. Don’t read it to see what you can benefit from it, and don’t try to make it fit your personal biases. Just read what it says and believe it. Then make a daily habit of thinking and reacting according to Scripture. Set your mind on things above and not things below.
