Is there something better to do in this world?!
Really, is there something better to do in this world?!
No, there is no better thing than to serve the living God.
"If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me..." - John 12:26
"...If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me." - Matthew 16:24
When I discovered the gospel of Jesus Christ and knew the Lord Jesus I thought:
I have found my new life. It is so good I cannot reject it.
I found in Him all that I could not found anywhere else: Love.
"But I say to you who hear: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,
bless those who curse you, and pray for those who spitefully use you. To him who
strikes you on the one cheek, offer the other also..." - Luke 6:27-28
"Sell what you have and give alms; provide yourselves money bags
which do not grow old, a treasure in the heavens that does not fail..." - Luke 12:33
"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see
your good works and glorify your Father in heaven." - Matthew 5:16
"For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." - Matthew 6:21
"Keep your heart with all diligence,
For out of it spring the issues of life." - Proverbs 4:23
"...For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks." - Matthew 12:34
And we cannot find true love in the world, and no one will love you more than the Lord.
"Can a woman forget her nursing child,
And not have compassion on the son of her womb?
Surely they may forget,
Yet I will not forget you." - Isaiah 49:15
At the same time, living and preaching the gospel is not something popular as it goes against the deception most people in the world are currently enslaved in.
Serving themselves by following their desires of their evil heart.
"But they have not all obeyed the gospel.
For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our report?”" - Romans 10:16
"Yet they did not obey or incline their ear, but followed the counsels
and the dictates of their evil hearts, and went backward and not forward." - Jeremiah 7:24
But we, as children of light, must always be ready to let His light shine on us and do not become distracted.
So that they may see His light on us and are encouraged to come to Him so that they can enjoy real life.
"knowing that whatever good anyone does, he will receive
the same from the Lord, whether he is a slave or free." - Ephesians 6:8
"And as many as walk according to this rule, peace
and mercy be upon them, and upon the Israel of God." - Galatians 6:16
"For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit,
rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh..." - Philippians 3:3
But if the gospel of Jesus is so good then why isn't it being embraced by the world?
Because the world cannot receive the Spirit of the gospel of Jesus.
"the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him..." - John 14:17
This world does not know love and it has no business with it.
"He who does not love does not know God, for God is love." - 1 John 4:8
"...does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth..." - 1 Corinthians 13:6
"Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth." - John 17:17
"and made no distinction between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith." - Acts 15:9
"For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies." - Matthew 15:19
Then, we should seek to imitate what is good. Yes, imitate what is good.
In the world we see people imitating evil, their favorite wicked celebrities and such.
But few are willing to imitate Jesus.
"And he who sees Me sees Him who sent Me." - John 12:45
"Beloved, do not imitate what is evil, but what is good..." - 3 John 11:1
"...Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God." - Luke 18:19
"Therefore be imitators of God as dear children.
And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us..." - Ephesians 5:1-2
"For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us,
leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps..." - 1 Peter 2:21
"Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ." - 1 Corinthians 11:1
"The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you." - Philippians 4:9
But even if no one is willing to live the gospel, we should not give up.
If no one is loving, if no one is willing to follow what is good then you must be the first to take the next move.
Because if we just wait and do not hold fast what is good then evil will prevail.
"Who will rise up for me against the evildoers?
Who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?" - Psalm 94:16
"You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you
should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever
you ask the Father in My name He may give you." - John 15:16
"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another;
as I have loved you, that you also love one another." - John 13:34
"Let each of you look out not only for his own interests,
but also for the interests of others." - Philippians 2:4
"For he who serves Christ in these things is acceptable to God and approved by men." - Romans 14:18
"Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God." - 1 Corinthians 10:31
"And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of
the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him." - Colossians 3:17
And there is nothing, nothing better than to work for the Lord.
We do so because we love it.
"For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love." - Galatians 5:6
I have not found anyone who loves me so much as the Lord does.
And there is nothing better than to receive the love from the Father, who loves us more than we can imagine.
"Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life,
what you will eat or what you will drink..." - Matthew 6:25
"casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you." - 1 Peter 5:7
"...For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him." - Matthew 6:8
"But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." - Matthew 6:33
"for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking,
but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit." - Romans 14:17
Blessings, blessings to you in Jesus' name!
