I was talking with sister Candance in another thread about logical arguments, which led to a discussion on personality types. This is the one I took sometime back that labeled me the Logician, INTP. I thought I would post a link, and if anyone is interested, they can do the survey to see what personality type they are, and how accurate that assessment is? Mine was very accurate, almost to the point of scary, it so accurately described me.

On that test, it said that I act in an assertive, diplomatic way, and strive for a stable, ordered life. I am goal oriented, but tend to avoid risk taking. I handle pressure well. I push myself and expect others to do the same.
That is fairly accurate. Some of the choices were difficult. Did you take this test Candance?

On that test I score as an individualist. I never saw where it gave personality type in the results.

We took the test back in the old days when you could get results for free. It’s all the big rage in trendy business offices for supervisors to make people take these tests.

I have taken several of these kind of tests, but none was as accurate as the one with 16 types.

Yes, the Myers-Briggs is by far the most popular because it tends to be most accurate.

It says I'm a Defender. It was pretty accurate in the descriptions and explanations of what a Defender is like.
Here's the first portion and page: _____ Your Results 69% -INTROVERTED
69% -OBSERVANT
65% -FEELING
63% -JUDGING
67% -ASSERTIVE
“THE DEFENDER” (ISFJ-A)
SENTINEL CONFIDENT INDIVIDUALISM
Love only grows by sharing. You can only have more for yourself by giving it away to others.
-Brian Tracy
The Defender personality type is quite unique, as many of their qualities defy the definition of their individual traits. Though sensitive, Defenders have excellent analytical abilities; though reserved, they have well-developed people skills and robust social relationships; and though they are generally a conservative type, Defenders are often receptive to change and new ideas. As with so many things, people with the Defender personality type are more than the sum of their parts, and it is the way they use these strengths that defines who they are.
Defenders are true altruists, meeting kindness with kindness-in-excess and engaging the work and people they believe in with enthusiasm and generosity.
Combining the best of tradition and the desire to do good, Defenders are found in lines of work with a sense of history behind them, such as medicine, academics and charitable social work.
Defender personalities (especially Turbulent ones) are often meticulous to the point of perfectionism, and though they procrastinate, they can always be relied on to get the job done on time. Defenders take their responsibilities personally, consistently going above and beyond, doing everything they can to exceed expectations and delight others, at work and at home.
We Must Be Seen to Be Believed
The challenge for Defenders is ensuring that what they do is noticed. They have a tendency to underplay their accomplishments, and while their kindness is often respected, more cynical and selfish people are likely to take advantage of Defenders’ dedication and humbleness by pushing work onto them and then taking the credit. Defenders need to know when to say no and stand up for themselves if they are to maintain their confidence and enthusiasm.
Naturally social, an odd quality for Introverts, Defenders utilize excellent memories not to retain data and trivia, but to remember people, and details about their lives. When it comes to gift-giving, Defenders have no equal, using their imagination and natural sensitivity to express their generosity in ways that touch the hearts of their recipients. While this is certainly true of their coworkers, whom people with the Defender personality type often consider their personal friends, it is in family that their expressions of affection fully bloom.
If I Can Protect You, I Will
Defender personalities are a wonderful group, rarely sitting idle while a worthy cause remains unfinished. Defenders’ ability to connect with others on an intimate level is unrivaled among Introverts, and the joy they experience in using those connections to maintain a supportive, happy family is a gift for everyone involved. They may never be truly comfortable in the spotlight, and may feel guilty taking due credit for team efforts, but if they can ensure that their efforts are recognized, Defenders are likely to feel a level of satisfaction in what they do that many other personality types can only dream of.

It's true that I have way more interest in memorizing data related to people, because that's where my heart is. When I was in school, I loved the challenge of taking tests. I nearly always scored 100% (or more if there was opportunity for extra credit) on tests that involved memorizing facts. And I love to research ... but it is almost always people-oriented... or serves a purpose that will be of use in the areas I feel drawn (helping people). I tend to skip over discussions that get very technical, not because I can't grasp it, but because it doesn't interest me unless it can be put to use in helping someone. (lol) Funny, how accurate that test is!

How did you get that? I took it and they just want me to purchase my results. I'll look again and see if it gives a result...

Protagonist Personality (ENFJ, -A/-T) Everything you do right now ripples outward and affects everyone. Your posture can shine your heart or transmit anxiety. Your breath can radiate love or muddy the room in depression. Your glance can awaken joy. Your words can inspire freedom. Your every act can open hearts and minds. David Deida Protagonists are natural-born leaders, full of passion and charisma. Forming around two percent of the population, they are oftentimes our politicians, our coaches and our teachers, reaching out and inspiring others to achieve and to do good in the world. With a natural confidence that begets influence, Protagonists take a great deal of pride and joy in guiding others to work together to improve themselves and their community.
HMMMM being a retired head of an educational unit some of this is accurate ( or was when I was working ) but talk about poetic and hyperbole !!!!!!!!
