1Co 13:1 (1) Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
We know what tongues of men are, which is English, Japanese and so on and so on (languages of the world).
But what are tongues of angels?
I know that many say it refers to unknown tongues, and at one point I use to think that, then it was told me at a certain other point in my life that it refers to speaking the word of God, for that is what angels speak.
But then the other day (yesterday), I got a certain thought, and I never read this anywhere before, and right now I just checked some commentaries, and they were saying the same thing that I was getting in my thoughts.
So before I mention the thoughts I got, I want to hear from people about it, for maybe you guys already have this thought, and then if your thought is different, share on, and say why you believe this or that.

To me, it just means that angels have their own language, just like people have different languages. I would imagine there is a single angelic language, but we know that there are many languages that people speak, as a result of what occurred at Babel.

Why do we assume there’s only one angelic language?

Why do we assume there’s only one angelic language? There could be more than one, but I don't know what the purpose would be. All the earth had a single language until Babel. If angels have a language, it would make logical sense that heaven has it's own unique language, separate from man. Without a situation like Babel, I am not sure why angels would need more than a single language, unless it had something to do with them not being understood by the fallen angels or something like that. What do you think?

When Satan appears before God’s throne, do you suppose he speaks the same language as Michael?

When Satan appears before God’s throne, do you suppose he speaks the same language as Michael? I've heard the demonic language and it is not the same.... phew! It would make sense that God would confound their language/s as well when they rebelled. I couldn't prove that, though. But what I heard (at rituals) was not pretty!

Yeah, I’ve heard both sides speak, and even in English there’s a different flavor to it.

God could have given the fallen angels a different language from those loyal to Him. I can see why it would make good sense.

What I've heard of the heavenly sounds was how our prayers go up and sound there like a beautiful song... even the music sounds different there. Beautiful beyond words!

If you have heard both where you could compare them, I will accept that as strong evidence. When I have seen a possessed person, they spoke profanities in English. Can you share your experiences hearing both?

But that’s neither here nor there on what Giller intends to discuss. I shall wait to see what more he tells us.

For me personally, the closest I’ve gotten to hear their native tongue was muttering. I’ve definitely heard the mutters of a foreign language that didn’t sound earthly. It has a gross flavor to it. Kind of like a toddler in a very bad mood talking gibberish in German. That’s the only way I can describe what I heard.
I’m sure Abby has heard more clearly.

I am the queen of hijacking threads. Sorry!!

I wasn't intending to stir a controversy. Giller did ask about the tongues of angels, so in my opinion, this is on topic, sort of.

The muttering is probably your hearing from a distance what I heard closer up. For those who've never had anything to compare it to, it is a lot like Chewbacca on Star Wars (seriously) ... but much more fluid. I heard them speaking to one another yet I didn't know the words or recognize the words... being I was only age 4, on an altar, I understood them telepathically. (sorry) Star Wars uses a lot of occult things... of course, George Lucas is cult.
ANYWAY ..... in Heaven, it is different... wow, beautiful .... total opposite!! The worship there is and will be beyond amazing!! When I heard a song there that I heard here... I knew it was the same song, but it sounded so much more wonderful there, with more facets ... things we don't see here, we will know more fully there. I know this isn't exactly the same topic either.... and I struggle for the words to describe it.
