One Saved Aways Saved. It is man-ology, just like TULIP. Flawed and prone to putting people under the anvil of demonic oppression. Absolutes are God's Territory. We seldom get it right since we are all prone to error. If we had thrown out all the RCC's doctrines and ignored the 'reformation', we would observe the Sabbath, ignore x-mas, despise 'easter bunnies' and hold fast to the Ten Commandments and not let the world dictate our 'seasons'. Season the Lord gave us are NOT winter spring summer and fall, but they are His Holy days. Yeshua showed us the importance of the Law and explained that not one jot or tittle would be done away with. However our freedom in Salvation has caused us to err greatly. The 'ordinances' that were superseded by the Cross were the Judaism's that the apostle fought against and NOT the Law of the Lord. (Pharisaical additions). Since no one seems to study much anymore, ignorance from the pulpit has led many into the ditch of complacency and foolish error. Early Jew haters effectively did away with the Sabbath and many GOOD things. You really have to read history very carefully to see the extent of this. It began in the garden. It is so sad that so many are in denial of this, but it is expected in a world of sin. Even the church 'fathers' had their writings 'edited'. It is VERY hard to find the original un-doctored text. Thanks for the clarification I am glad Justin was here to answer that for you. I somehow missed that post. The call it OSAS=Once Saved Always Saved, and they also call it unconditional eternal security. It all sounds wonderful, but it is a lie.

What is the "tulip" concept? I don't recall ever hearing about it. The so called Calvinist doctrines.. the five points of which nearly all I take exception to for one reason or another. Calvin was NOT a nice person as there are accounts of him imprisoning people and having them put to death as well. There are many accounts that refute most of the Israel hating reformers. Check out the book 'Things you pastor never told you'. Personally I feel the 'reformation' was just a re-write of pagan Rome's dictates. Ah ok. There's a great documentary about the history of the bible, "A Lamp in the Dark" Part 2 where it talks about how the RCC were so sneaky in how they manipulated translations. Calvin was evil and his beliefs are evil. They are so far from the word of God that it makes me crazy when Christians defend him. I didn't know they were called "tulips".

TULIP is an acronym. It stands for, like, Total depravity of man, Udeserved election, something that starts with L... I remember seeing the whole thing but I don’t care enough to look it up. It’s basically a cute way to recite Calvinism.

More clarification: In the first 1-200 years there were few that could write and fewer that could read and write. The few early accounts of the church fathers were largely either burn or 'rewritten' by the few who though of themselves as the lords of belief. They competed for first place in the presentation of the gospels. The Jews were shouted down and persecuted. They were never asked about their opinions. The rest of the 'experts' argued hammer and tongues over the books that eventually were included in the 'new testament'. When the apostles talk about the 'words of the Lord' they are referring to the Tanach and Yeshua - not some NT book that was not yet compiled.
Most of these early church scrolls were contested until Qumran. Ask yourself: why were the Qumran scrolls unannounced until 40 years later?? They were kept secret by another self-appointed intelligentsia brigade of thought-police. They held that their particular collection of writings were the holy grail. Many were tortured and put to death for NOT towing the party line.
The books we have now are adequate for God's purposes, but there are others. God is not as small minded as we are. He gives us FREEDOMS which are some of His 'Image' attributes.
It is human-kind that wants to pervert and hide things in the mistaken assumption they are gods. These people mimic the principalities and powers (the Archons as Saul calls them.)
God made us LIKE Himself. He is NEVER threatened - EVER by our various machinations. He is GOOD, and He is Merciful from everlasting to everlasting. Those who would dare steady the Ark have to really sit up and take notice.
Worship the WORD, the LIGHT of men, the ONE. Take care you do not worship mere words... God is SPIRIT, thus He uses our limited lingoes to breath life. Not the other way around. The sword is NOT just a word, but it's God's SPIRIT in action.
The Lord High God may be sometimes described by mere words, but He is NEVER contained or limited by them.
