Not according to the author of the Bible. See in the Bible who the author of the Bible does not listen to. (more common than who the author of the Bible does listen to) A few examples: Psalm 66:18 If I had cherished iniquity in my heart, the Lord would not have listened. Psalm 145:19 He fulfills the desires of those who fear Him; He hears their cry and saves them. Proverbs 15:29 The LORD is far from the wicked, but He hears the prayer of the righteous. Proverbs 28:9 Whoever turns his ear away from hearing the law, even his prayer is detestable. Isaiah 1:15 When you spread out your hands in prayer, I will hide My eyes from you; even though you multiply your prayers, I will not listen. Your hands are covered with blood. "The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, To all who call upon Him in truth." - Psalm 145:18Just as I said. Since Few call upon Him, Few call upon Him in truth.... Many hold sin in their heart.... Many do not turn to Him for anything.... thus "not everyone" not nearly, is heard by Yahuweh (God).... as His Word Says, He does not listen to their prayers.... (if they happen to pray) ..... He doesn't "submit" to their 'interview' according to His Word....... they go on without Him, doomed in their sinfulness and rebelliousness.....

He doesn't "submit" to their 'interview' according to His Word....... they go on without Him, doomed in their sinfulness and rebelliousness..... To us who are husbands, the Word also declares - "Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with your wives with understanding, giving honor unto the wife as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers be not hindered."
- 1Pet 3:7 If we are not honoring what God has blessed us with, He will not hear our prayers. Now this is to the saints, to us who know what the Lord requires. He will always hear the sinner in the world who comes to Him for forgiveness and deliverance. But once we are "saved" we have no excuse to remain stubborn and rebellious. “But on this one will I look:
On him who is poor and of a contrite spirit,
And who trembles at My Word."
- Isaiah 66:2b Are we walking in righteousness and obedience? Or do we sometimes take the Lord's mercy and grace fro granted? That is a dangerous place to be. "The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
And His ears are open to their cry.
16 The face of the Lord is against those who do evil,
To cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.
17 The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears,
And delivers them out of all their troubles.
18 The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart,
And saves such as have a contrite spirit."- Psal 34:15-18

"in the flesh", "of the world", "carnal", without good purpose........ i.e. shake-a-spear...... (sic) Remember, or read: "What man lifts up even in high esteem, Yahuweh (God the Creator) calls an abomination" That is what makes her point so brilliant. See what happens when you mess with things the world places great value on, like what they consider great literature.

Joseph , put those hands up and praise the LORD . And let all rejoice in the LORD . And in all that we do or say , let it HONOR the LORD . That's right , Honor and all Glory to the LORD .

The flesh and devil doesn't much care to distort and muddy the writings of the world, but slyly tries to do so only with the bible and truth every opportunity that arises. God's word is true for all times....the flesh hasn't changed and the devil has never changed his spots, so let's just be wise and continue to test all things, the best we can, with the Help of the Lord.

Well, the other big issue for me is the presumption that language/culture/reasoning must be aligned with our ways. We don’t want to change what actually happens inside our heads. Instead of us transforming to learn how to think like someone else, we must put their writing/teaching through a conversion process. We find eight different ways to reword or rephrase the same idea until a particular wording is able to align with our thought process. Then the idea “clicks” for us and we are happy that we now “understand” it. Very few modern readers can read a statement as it is and believe/understand it without having to rephrase it.
People do this constantly when they read textbooks and news articles. They stare at a paragraph, going over it again and again, because they really don’t know how to think like the author. They have to convert the paragraph to their way of thinking, often one word at a time. Then when you ask them probing questions about what they just read, they typically answer based on “what makes sense to them” and not based on how the author would have answered.

Wow...sister.....that is such a clear picture of how we need to transform our minds by the washing of the water of the word....conforming our thinking to His. He gives light to our minds...the mind of Christ. The less mental 'rephrasing' we do the better for the most part, though it is sometimes helpful to do that in order to bridge our understanding, as long as our own rephrasing/understanding is not what we are ultimately standing on....but just as a bridge I think can be helpful. Wish I could express this better, but I've noticed how if we go too far astray with our terminology from what the bible actually says, it can lead to a kind of error that is fleshly understanding as opposed to spiritual. Our brains just can't perceive the things of the Spirit because they are flesh, not spirit.

EXPOSE IT ALL SISTER . EXPOSE IT ALL . Time has run its course . TIME has ran its course and all things are being fulfilled . BEHOLD the WOLF behind all wolves will soon take its stand and all unto whom it was given to believe the lie will heed ONLY IT . The hour of our betrayal draws nigh . The hour where all true lambs will say as one , BEHOLD , ARISE the WOLF is at the door and we have been betrayed into the hands of men .

Its thinking that just even one of my friends might slip and be taken in the net . I am no great thing , but If I die first , I pray the LORD raises up only many more to expose the trash of this unity sack of dung for what it is . GOD is the same , JESUS the same , and we shall have all we need to be VICOTORIOUS . THEY can keep this world and its system and lies . THE LORD freed us from that lie . LET ALL HONOR HIM in all we do or say . NOW FOWARD MARCH into the trenches .

And thus let all grow in the grace of GOD which brings salvation , and TEACHES us to DENY all ungodliness and wordly lusts and to be walking soberly righteously and godly in this world as we await the Coming of OUR LORD . Hands up , joseph . Believe me , I do encourage praise , but I am far from those dead false love , false untiy , false teachings ones . For many do praise the LORD , but few are heard . FOR many praise HIM IN SIN , and few praise HIM for setting them FREE FROM SIN .

Rather since society is pernicious (death dealing), and subject to the prince of the power of the air, (= the father of lies), ALL the writings of the world are not to be trusted, from the so-called and unacceptable "classics" meant to distract from Christ (to bring attention instead to the world), to the daily news, the politics for not just the last few years, but for over 100 years ('classic' deception, on purpose, for gain or for advantage)... most notably , and the worst deception, is by pharmacy, as written in Scripture and as verified the last 117 years, plus...... "all"? for money ....... the root of evil..... Not to derail the thread-topic, but realize that deception is warp and woof, part and parcel, fully throughout all society everywhere. People are born into it, taught to believe it, taught to trust it, taught to use it, as if it is okay...... thus people perish.

They have to convert the paragraph to their way of thinking, often one word at a time. Then when you ask them probing questions about what they just read, they typically answer based on “what makes sense to them” and not based on how the author would have answered. Whose presumption ? When I was younger, before being saved, I easily learned what I read, in almost all subjects, and used it to get good grades, jobs, and to gain advantage with people or businesses or government. Doing what was needed to get ahead, in accordance with "language/ culture/ reasoning" was very helpful in getting what I wanted, (as also we were taught in school, (most of the time) ) . When I got saved, I wanted EVERYTHING changed in me, in line with what God's Word Says is REQUIRED - HIS WAY, and I was crucified with Christ, everything in me, "language/ culture/ reasoning" as well as all thoughts, desires, wants, needs, goals, aims, hopes, dreams, talents, activities (in my brain, soul, mind, body) - all deeds, all of all, all of anything - CRUCIFIED WITH CHRIST - GONE ! ABSENT ! as written in His Word. "Very few modern readers" - or rather all of society, all of the world, "can read a statement " and understand it at all, because they are deluded. Those who accept what the world says, with no fear of God and without His Understanding, apart from Him, without Him, need to be saved , or they are lost forever. AFTER BEING SAVED< the goal is not to "convert" to their /our way of thinking, whether one word at a time or otherwise, but to delight in the Wisdom and the Experiential Knowledge and Understanding of God while abiding in Christ Jesus - Christ Jesus WHO IS our Wisdom, our Knowledge, our Understanding, our Hope, our Joy, our Peace, our Righteousness (RIGHT WITH GOD! ) ...... Seeking always the Kingdom of God, Seeking always TRUTH, and as Promised by God through Jesus, finding/ knowing the TRUTH, and being continually free, or being set free and staying free, from the lie(s)...... Not as the world does, which is wrong, But as God Says in His Word, which is right , as God Reveals to His little children , as written, by and in and through Christ Jesus.

Does one have to hold to "KJV-only" beliefs to join here? The SOF seems to imply that the AKJV is the only version any Christian should use. My impression is that any Christian who is not convinced that the KJV is exclusively God's Word in English would be in violation of the SOF and shouldn't join. Clarification would be appreciated. Thanks. Guest123, are you still around ? Joined or gone ? "Clarified" enough ?
