I’m on my way to meet our church witnessing group and others and what do I hear?
THE SHOFAR!!
It was wonderful! One doesnt hear that often at a Mexican celebration!
Then I spotted our tent and meet with a group of 6-8 brothers and sisters to begin witnessing.
The parade was in the middle of being done and I wanted to get out there and witness!
So, the sheriffs had a tent close to us so as they were enjoying the parade going by
and chatting with people, I walked over with my violation tickets....
This is the Gospel message on what looks like a parking ticket.
It states right on the front this is not a police ticket so I said
Has anyone given YOU a ticket today officer? And the group all got one.
They really liked the message and thought it was definelty an eye catcher.
So I said, if you already know the Gospel message,
please feel free to “ticket” a vehicle as you all leave today...Spread the Word!
Then I just asked people if they got their “ticket”
and they gladly wanted one!
I then had newbie in our group who said someone wanted to take
The Good Person Test, could I help?
I thought to myself, these are young boys with Grandma and Mom
and teen sisters so yes, I will test them!
So, if you died today do you think you would go to heaven or hell?
Oh heaven...
So you think youre a good person?
Yes....
Ok, either of you tell a lie to your parents?
Oh....yes...
What does that make you?
A sinner...
Yes but whats the other word people use if you lie?
Liar!
Right. So have you ever stolen or “borrowed” something and never give it back?
Oh, I used to....
Ok, what are you called then?
A thief.
Right, so now you two have already broken 2 of Gods commandments, still think youre good enough to go to heaven?
As we chatted I said I was a liar and a thief until Christ made me born again.
I used myself as an example of being a sinner as well, and asked that they talk to Jesus and follow Him.
I said its a personal decision one makes, no one can make it for you.
I let them know how I witnessed to my dying dad.
I said, now my dad never told me if he was born again but the last day I saw him his smile was sooooo big...And I
trust when Jesus tells us in the Bible He will do the things we ask for so I am happily looking to see my parents in heaven!
I said please love and hug your parents and grandparents, goofy as this sounds now, you will love it later!
Obey your parents and perhaps you’ll think back and say...they grounded me and that was ok because I learned a lesson on this or that.
I said Jesus came to save sinners but the people thought He was going to save them from the control of Rome.
I said when Jesus died on the cross, He took all your sins, all my sins, past, present and future, away.
Now that doesnt mean you get to sin all the time, when you follow Jesus you naturally do good things when you are born again.
You want to obey Him as you obey your parents.
I asked if they went to church. Yes.
Ok, ask your teacher some hard questions ands perhaps see if she can past this test!
I said learn more about Jesus and He will help you made good or better decisions as you grow in life.
I didnt know Jesus until I was old...I really needed to hear about Him when I was like your age.
So, do you understand what He’s done for you? And that every day is precious to be alive!
They did.
Then Grandma said I did a good job explaining Jesus to the children and thanked me.
They were from a ministry family and complimented me on what a good job I had done with the children.
So, praise God again, for answering my question....will I say the right things in order so the kids will understand me?
Smiles all around and then it was time for me to go home.
In an elevator I met four teen girls. I said what a great place to hang out!
I said, have you ever received a ticket for loitering?
No.
Well, here’s your ticket. My last one.
Oh?
I said if you dont know the Gospel message please read it and share it.
Then I said, to freak someone out when you go home, place this on someone’s car so THEY get the Gospel message too!
Cool! Do you have anymore?
I ran out but the Word goes forth, just as He said it would!!
