For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. Hebrews 4:12,13
And the heavens departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of this wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand? Revelation 6:14-17
We do not see the face of God looking down upon us as we go through our everyday activities. We simply live our lives and don't give it a second thought if God notices what we do. As Christians, we will consider it when we are thinking about committing a sinful act, but it is easy to forget. The LORD sees everything we do. The LORD knows every thought we think. He sees both the good and the bad. That is how he is able to judge righteously. Those secret sins, those evil thoughts, God knows.
All things are naked and opened unto the eyes of God, but we don't see him watching us. In Revelation, we see a time where the heavens will roll back like a scroll, not so God can see us, but so men will see him. God was watching all along. As we go through our day, let us be mindful of that. Those who are doing right need not fear the face of the LORD watching them. Only those doing evil need fear.
