Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

This is a warning we would do good to heed to. When it comes down to unbelievers and even religious people pretending to be Christians, there are some things you don't want to share with them. That is because they will not receive it. Instead of accepting it or at least carefully considering it, they will get mad and turn around and attack you. That is what this warning is all about. When it comes to sinners, the message we need to bring to them is simply to repent and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. By repent, I mean to ask forgiveness for all past sins, and make a commitment to do their best to follow the teachings of the Bible going forward. Going into specifics at this point will get you in trouble. Attacking them for individual sins is not wise.
When it comes to religious imposters, it is often best to avoid getting into any doctrinal discussions with them because they will attack you when you disagree with them. It will turn into a personal attack rather than a discussion. Most new Christians make the mistake of casting pearls before swine, but after you have taken enough hits, you will learn better. You would be better off to simply heed the warning from Jesus so you don't have to go through that and learn the hard way. You may have to get into it with false brethren if it is to defend the gospel and protect someone else, but I am talking about a one on one discussion.
