LACK OF KNOWLEDGE THAT KILLS
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. (Hosea 4:6 KJV)
God’s people need the knowledge of his preeminence, his providence, and his power. He alone is the source of proper theology, true history, moral science, and biblical philosophy. Knowledge and perception of Him provokes investigation for genuine truth. When we Him in Spirit and Truth we understand:
Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned: (1st Timothy 1:5 KJV)
Having a pure heart is essential to see the vision of God, having a good conscience is to perceive the ethical aspect of God, and un-pretended faith is essential to receiving from God. All these attributes contribute to the knowledge of God’s sovereignty.
Why is the lack of knowledge destructive to humanity?
The carnal nature by nature is self-destructive because all the ways of humanity is the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. The carnal nature is incapable of understanding its own errors, faults, and the deceitfulness of sin.
(12) Who can understand his errors? Oh, cleanse me from my secret faults;
(13) And keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins; do not let them rule over me; then I shall be blameless, and I shall be innocent of great transgression.
(14) Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my Strenght and my Redeemer. Psalms 19:12-14
Therefore it is imperative that we know God’s person through the word of God, Preachers and Teachers of the tenants of our faith, and perfect law of liberty.
But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. (James 1:25 KJV)
The law of freedom; which sets a standard of conduct; thus; a conformity to the new covenant laws; bring freedom from sin and joyous living. Sin produces guilt when it entices and that enticement is fulfilled it brings death.
(14) But each one is tempted when he is drawn away and is enticed by his own lust.
(15) And after lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is completely finished, brings forth death.
(16) Do not deceive yourselves, my beloved brethren. James 1:14-16
The backslider that does not repent will find themselves denying God and the knowledge they knew when they worshipped Him in Sprit and Truth. Brethren the deceitfulness of sin opens the door for strong delusion. Please stay in His presence, in His proclamation, and in His people these lead us into revelations which enhance our lives. Selah
