CRISIS OF FAITH?
I surmise many today within the body of Christ are having a crisis of faith, as I observe many around me within the faith, I see a fear slowly creeping into their lives. Many will not admit it, and many don’t even see it; however it is there and gaining ground with each passing day. Brethren don’t lose the scope of the hope that lies within you, the hope of glory within you, Christ Jesus our Lord. Read what the word says;
(25) But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
(26) Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
(27) And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
(28) And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
(29) For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
(30) Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
(31) What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:25-31 KJV
As we are assimilated into the image and likeness of Christ through the renewal of our minds. God foreknew our infirmities; the Greek word for infirmities describes our feebleness or more directly strength-less-ness of body or mind. When we pray in the Spirit intensely, the Spirit within us begins to make intercessions which are so deeply profound that mere words cannot verbalize and groans are manifested. Because the Spirit within is totally in tune with God being the Spirit of Christ himself, it makes intercessions according to the will of God on our behalf.
The end of its purpose is the understanding that all things work in unity to bring God’s good to those whom love him and are called according to his deliberate intention. If we will continue in trusting God in faith through loving him lucidly, he will finish the work in and through us which he prepared for us and we shall be justified and glorified as a result. Glorification is the result of our transformation from this terrestrial body into a celestial body at his appearing.
The word teaches us God has not given us a spirit of fear, but instead infused us with faith which is a product of his love flowing through us. Let us remember to discern the times in which we are living. When we accepted Christ we handed the reins of our lives over to him, he is the pilot and we are under his authority. Many of us say we trust him but in a crisis our actions reveal exactly how much that statement is true. When fear is able to paralyze us, or redirect us then it has accomplished its task. There are times God does not show us a clear path through an enraging storm. In those times he would have us to stop and find shelter in his presence, to seek his face, to lambaste in his peace and cease from fretting about the storm.
Peace infuses us with an empowered patience which can endure the greatest of trials. Jesus can walk on the water of the raging waves and fierce winds that try to capsize your life, he has only to speak the words “ peace be still “ and the winds will die and waves subside. Therefore let patience have it perfecting peace working in and through you. For Jesus will not leave you or forsake you, in fact he is the strength that sustains you. Therefore trust him, fear is a foe which comes to terrorize the soul, therefore stand in the power of his might having put on all the armor of God, then raise the shield of faith which quenches all the fiery darts of fear, be strong for the Lord your God is with you.
Brethren, all things are not good, but happen for some reason for the good of all of those who truly love God and are his chosen ones called to carry out his purposes. Selah ( pause and calmly think about it )
Shalom, Agape, & Amen!
