GOT TRIALS?
Life is sometimes very challenging to say the least, there are many pitfalls, conflicts, and tumultuous times which are designed to drain the Christian of their spiritual strength and vitality. However we must always remember that our God has promised to never leave or forsake us in troublesome times.
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. (Isaiah 41:10 KJV)
We can take certain comfort in the providential care of our Heavenly Father to watch over us. His name Yahweh speaks of his presence meaning “ to be, to become, and to come to pass “ hence self existent and eternal. The word Lord is found in 6,749 verses in the bible and mentioned 7,970 times. He is in fact the great “ I AM “ , He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He is constantly unveiling and revealing himself to us through our intimate relationship with him. He tells us, don’t be afraid because I am there with you and in you, don’t be dismayed because I will strengthen you, he tells us; I will help you, and hold you up with my powerful right hand of my righteousness. Wow!
We must remember, he also tells us to not lean to our own limited insight or understanding, but to trust in his way and word, and walk in his will even when things seem to increase traumatically more severe against us. We must set our eyes on Jesus, who is the author and the finisher of our faith. We must walk by our faith in him, and not by the sight of our own mentality.
I have never seen a trial that did not have an end, although when I was walking through the valley of the shadow of death, when my enemies were incensed and encamped around me, when my resources seemed to have dried up, my hope and faith overcame the fears and trepidations knowing that at any given time I could have a breakthrough moment and all would be right as rain again. The LORD comforts:
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. (Isaiah 41:10 KJV)
Peace ensues those who seek it in the presence of the LORD. When the praises goes up, the blessings come down, and in due season the breakthrough comes through to save, heal, deliver, or fulfill us. God is not slack concerning his promises, but where there is a promise in the word, there will be a condition in the world. Perseverance and patience is part of the package that brings fruition into our lives. The commandment to count it all joy when we fall into various trials and tribulations is another key to obtaining what God has promised. Why?
Because in his presence is the fullness of joy, and at his right hand there are pleasures forevermore. Running right into his presence, fellowshipping with the Father in Spirit and Truth, enjoying the worship of our God as we learn to withstand the onslaught of those pitfalls rejoicing in Jesus.
Brethren don’t fall into the trap of thinking you are the only one who faces difficult times, don’t allow yourself to become double minded and unstable because of trying times, but instead allow them to perfect your faith through perfecting your patience and thereby becoming ardently determined to fulfill your destiny. Many trials that are designed to tear you down, actually have the ability to build you up depending upon have you decide to endure them. In a trying time you can try to do it in and of yourself and fail, or you can do be filled with the power of the right hand of God’s righteousness and overcome.
Brethren keep the faith today by looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of your faith, the Alpha and Omega of your life, He who was, He who is, and He who is to come. He will guide you by his Spirit and his Word into all truth and to victory. Selah.
Shalom, Agape, & Amen!
