THE UNFORTUNATE INCONVENIENT TRUTH
When I think of ministry, I think about people of which ministry is directed. One thing about the present, it is constantly behind us; hence as soon as we arrive it is behind us. Therefore each second of life is precious in that very moment, but many take it for granted they’ll arrive in the next second safe and sound. If I’ve found out one thing about life, it is the fact it is unpredictable concerning every waking moment.
In the moment in the twinkling of an eye one’s heart could stop, one could be in traffic just driving along then be in a fatal accident. One could be enjoying a nice swim and be pulled down to death by some unforeseen undertow, there are literally thousands of ways to be taken out of this life. Some quickly and some dreadfully slow and painful. The point; this present life is very short compared to eternity.
Today we are witnessing the days of Noah as Jesus predicted the moral aptitude is in rapid decline and many are falling away from the faith which was once delivered to the saints for us all. We see the Church Universal joining the ranks of debauchery and embracing that which is unholy, ungodly, and blasphemous, and we are rapidly approaching the end of the age of the Gentile Church and Jesus is coming soon.
The inconvenient truth is the fact that many within the body of Christ do not have any discernment and do not even perceive the spiritual state they are in. People today want to hear messages that soften sin and its effects, they want preachers who will give them a pass to the carnival of carnality which allows them to enjoy the pleasures of the flesh while still holding on to their title “ Christian “.
Brethren, if you die in your sins, living in the comfort and pleasure of sinning, you will be judged as a sinner and not a saint of God.
(14) Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers; for what fellowship does righteousness have with lawlessness? And what partnership does light have with darkness?
(15) And what agreement does Christ have with Belial? Or what part does a believer have with an unbeliever?
(16) And what agreement does a temple of God have with idols? For you are the temple of the living God, as God has said, "I will dwell in them and walk among them; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people."
(17) Therefore come out from among them and be separated, says the Lord, and do not touch the unclean thing. And I will receive you
(18) and I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.
2nd Corinthians 6:14-18
Many today call preaching an exclusive gospel legalism, but the gospel is not all inclusive, we must separate ourselves spiritually from the world. We cannot have worldly idols in our hearts, houses, or churches. We must not embrace those things which are biblically considered impure, we must not partner with the world or with backslidden Christians and Churches joining them in their rebellion, for we are called to be a temple of the Most High God.
Brethren keep the faith today by returning to the old paths, the old land marks of our faith, we can live in the modern age without giving in to the pressures of the degradation of it. We are called to be living epistles of the gospel, the express image of Jesus in the midst of a dark and doomed world. Let us be the light someone needs to inspire hope and faith in those around us. Let us rejoice and be glad in the God of our Salvation! Selah!
Shalom, Agape, & Amen!
