There are certain things that the Bible warns will happen in the last days, and it is out of our control. If we are not careful, it can discourage our hearts, but I am writing this in the hopes you will not allow that to happen to you. The thing you need to be concerned with is that you continue to faithfully follow Christ, no matter what is going on around you.
NOW we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him. That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 2 Thessalonians 2:1-3
It is just going to happen. No big last days revival, but a falling away! I wish I could tell you otherwise. I wish I could tell you that the last days will lead to a massive turning to God with our whole heart, and we would get so good, the Lord would return because we are suddenly worthy, but that is not the case. What we will see is men's hearts going further and further from God. We will see people refusing sound doctrine. We will see a huge delusion, where if possible, even the elect will be deceived.
This will touch us all, even here at Narrow Way. We will have some come and some go. This ministry is not for everyone. Don't let your hearts be troubled over this. We should continue to pray for everyone, but understand that some are going to turn back, just like Lot's wife did. Some will walk for a time with Christ, and then turn away, like many of Jesus' followers did. The main thing is that you continue to live for the Lord. Don't let anyone cause you to lose sight of the prize that awaits those who faithfully continue till the end. If you have fallen into sin yourself, there is a remedy called the blood of Christ. Confess your sins, turn away from them, and let that blood wash you clean. Then go and sin no more. The time is short. Don't let anyone steal your reward in God's Kingdom.
