I don't know how many remember the Rex Nelon Singers? Of course, his daughter Kelly continues to carry on as part of the Nelons, but it was Rex that originally formed the group. He had been part of the Lefevres, and when they retired, he bought them out, their bus and everything, and formed his own family group. This is one of my favorites by them. This is another example of a B side that became a big hit, although not as big as the A Side, "Jesus Is Your Ticket To Heaven." "Wedding Day" made it up to about number #10, while the A Side got up to around #3. This is the first album featuring Karen Peck with the group, who took over after Janet Paschal left to sing full time with Jimmy Swaggart's ministry.

This is another favorite of mine by the Rex Nelon Singers. Kelly is featured on this one.

Oh my goodness... yes, that was one of my favorites too! Wow, thank you for posting this, brother! I do remember them. I wasn't too crazy about Karen Peck and New River that later formed with Karen Peck. But the Nelons... yes.
