This is not some big endorsement of everything Leonard Ravenhill ever said, but I do know that in this 5 minutes he was absolutely right.

You rarely hear people preach like that today. I need to look up more of his material.

Amen. This man's teaching has truly born fruit for the Kingdom. Have some of his writings on my shelf and sermons stored on my computer.
Yes, he is among the few I know who preach concerning the righteousness and holiness that God requires.
Definitely worth a listen.
"Indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ 9 and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; 10 that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, 11 if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.
12 Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. 13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, 14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
15 Therefore let us, as many as are mature, have this mind; and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal even this to you. 16 Nevertheless, to the degree that we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us be of the same mind."
- Phil 3:8-15
This Christian walk is not for the timid and easily offended. God's wisdom and strength to all, Michael

I see what you did there. Yeah, didn't even realize that the video I shared was from one of the segments in the one you posted, until I was watching it again! It's been in my 'saved' videos on YouTube for a couple years. Powerful message indeed! God is good! Blessings to all as we heed His Word.

This is not some big endorsement of everything Leonard Ravenhill ever said, but I do know that in this 5 minutes he was absolutely right. WONDERFUL ! (have read his quotes online for about a year - very faithful and convicting and life-changing and not entertaining) p.s. in the first two minutes 5 seconds, he clearly wipes out (for saved people) any need or desire to follow false teachers, entertainers , like heiser !

Leonard Ravenhill was a good friend of David Wilkerson, even a mentor to David Wilkerson.

Here is a bit of info concerning, Leonard Ravenhill, from the book: "The cross, The switchblade, and the man who believed, David Wilkerson, by Gary Wilkerson with R.S.B. Sawyer."
(The cross, The switchblade, and the man who believed, David Wilkerson, by Gary Wilkerson with R.S.B. Sawyer. (pages 102-103))
(...Eventually the work drew the interest of an Englishman named Leonard Ravenhill, the revered author of Why Revival Tarries. In decades to come, Leonard became one of my father's dearest friends and had a significant impact on his life. A distinguished gentleman with a devotion equal to my dad's, he had been a preacher for A. W. Tozer's ministry, based in the British Isles. More recently he had served with Bethany Fellowship in Minneapolis when he heard of my dad's outreach in New York.
"Leonard Ravenhill wouldn't have gone to just hang out with somebody who's dealing with drug addicts," notes Winkie Pratney. Leonard had long prayed for for revival. He was also of the "pulpiteers" described by Dick Simmons. He loved preaching on the streets, as England had a long tradition of open-air ministry. In Brooklyn, Leonard was a firsthand witness to what a wide-eyed Sonny Arguinzoni could only call revival.
"What Leonard saw there was the dealings of God with people," Winkie Pratney says. "That's revival. ...)

Here is another quote from Gary Wilkerson's book on his dad, which shows that David Wilkerson, considered Leonard Ravenhill a mentor to him:
(The cross, The switchblade, and the man who believed, David Wilkerson, by Gary Wilkerson with R.S.B. Sawyer. (page 200))
(...My father ended up seeking out Leonard the way young guys sought Dad. "I need to ask Leonard about this," he would say, grabbing his car keys, or, "I want to find out what Leonard's studying." It was a rare thing for my dad to be the mentee rather than the mentor, but he knew Leonard was a bit farther up the road in some important ways. ...)
