FINDING SATISFACTION
What goals are you actually achieving? The significance of goal setting will bring the fulfillment we are looking for in life. Each of us have sat down to wonder why we are here and to what end. God has a purpose for every individual who will submit themselves to Him. We all must walk into the same throne room and bow down before the Only Wise God to obtain that information that will reveal our particular purpose. Many people have made that spiritual journey and have even found their purpose, but turn from the throne of the Most High to live a life of idleness.
One must continue to go to God for instruction, for revelation, for inspiration, and the energy to pursue the object of one’s purpose. Finding what we are to do within the Kingdom then defines us, for we are what God has called us to be, our responsibility is to perfect what God has put within us to achieve. Brethren, on your knees you will find purpose, on your feet you will find achievement. There is no fruits within the Kingdom of God without the prayer, faith, and labor.
Many today will not seek or stay in prayer long enough to hear from the Lord concerning direction, instruction, and application concerning how to achieve purpose. We have become to accustom to this age of instant gratification, replies, and results. If it doesn’t happen quickly many do not have the stamina, patience, or endurance to obtain the appropriate answers in the presence of God.
So many today are impulsive and impatient and will move into a vocation that they are not called by God to perform. Their lives end up being plagued by emotional depression because they do not have a sense of purpose or fulfillment. Within each of us is the potential to become fully what God has called us to be, until we find that potential there will be a sense void within us and an opening for the negative influences of life to misdirect us into a vocation or calling that God did not design for our lives. Every one is given specific innate abilities to develop for the Kingdom of God.
Pursuing these abilities is the key to our personal sense of joy, purpose, and fulfillment. The pursuit of riches, fame, and success are hollow concerning the satisfying of innermost of one’s being. Only those things that God has called us to fulfill satisfy the in-depth yearning of the spirit and soul, those other things are only fringe benefits at best when one finds their purpose, which first and foremost promotes God and advances his kingdom according to his word.
It doesn’t matter what station of life our purpose positions us into, it will satisfy us and bring us into the peace, serenity, and contentment of the Spirit of God in our lives and cause of us to be effective in pointing others to Christ and his Kingdom.
Prayer is our preemptive weapon in our spiritual arsenal that prepares us to confront and overcome the adversities of life which are designed to defeat us before we accomplish our God given goals and purpose. Prayer produces the patience which gives us the enduring peace to have presence of mind to dissect and categorize our live proportionately to bring about the results we desire. Time spent in prayer is the designating factor that empowers us!
Why? Because “ Thou wilt show me the path of life: in thy presence is the fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore” Psalm 16:11
Brethren keep the faith today by pressing into his presence to find your purpose by asking specifically what it is, then wait upon the Lord for the answer, if at first you don’t succeed, pray, pray again. Remember your purpose will define you, you will be identified by your purpose and that purpose will start making opportunities for you to fulfill it more and more with each passing day. Do not shy away from who and what God has called you to be.
