Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it? And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost. Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

The false teachers and prophets of this wicked generation say repentance is not required, but what causes joy among the angels? A sinner that repents. Not faith plus nothing, but repentance.

True godly faith will have action to it, it prompts towards the things and ways of God, which one of those ways is repentance.
There is evidence to true genuine faith.

I don't think a person can have a real salvation experience unless they repent of their sins. Of course, some have twisted the meaning of salvation to simply mean going from not believing in Jesus to believing in Jesus, which is absurd. Still, the devil has been hard at work trying to twist the Bible in knots to the point where people think they are saved, but are really heading straight for hell. They trust in this phony grace message and never turned away from their sins. They continue to walk according to the flesh, and are in bondage to sin. It is really a shame, as it will be harder to save them than those who don't claim to be Christians at all. Hell will be filled with the faith plus nothing deceivers and their victims.

...some have twisted the meaning of salvation to simply mean going from not believing in Jesus to believing in Jesus, which is absurd.
Actually, to believe in Jesus is all that is needed to be saved.
“He who believes in the Son has everlasting life...” - John 3:36
The problem is that:
“...Even the demons believe — and tremble!” - James 2:19
Then there is a difference between a false belief and true, genuine belief in Jesus.
“...Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.” - James 2:18
“You are My friends if you do whatever I command you.” - John 15:14
Living is believing.
“...This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.” - John 6:29
“But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say?” - Luke 6:46
If you keep buying lottery tickets is because you believe you have chances of winning, even if you say you do not.
If you keep mining the land for gold is because you believe you will eventually find one, even if you say you do not.
In the same way, while claiming to believe in Jesus and insisting in walking like the devil (in sin), even if you say you believe and want to walk holy, you just really do not.
“Therefore he who rejects this does not reject man, but God, who has also given us His Holy Spirit.” - 1 Thessalonians 4:8
“And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.” - Revelation 22:12
Blessings!

I never heard this salvation without repenting teaching till recently. It seems false messages are being taught everywhere these days with new ones being added.

I never heard this salvation without repenting teaching till recently. It seems false messages are being taught everywhere these days with new ones being added. I had never heard that or the new definition of repentance, to go from not believing to believing in Jesus, till recently. If you believe, that is because God revealed his Son to you, and Jesus revealed the Father to you. That is not what repentance means. Repentance is turning from your sins.

It makes it easier to pervert scripture when you can redefine words to mean things they never did before.
