This is a ministry account, whose purpose is to post only the exact words of the Apostles as found in scripture. It will be used by Paul, James, Peter, John and Jude. It will be used in much the same was as the account is used by our Chief Administrator, Jesus Christ.

Each Apostle deserves their own username, but that would require each to have a different e-mail address and sign in information, and it is hard enough for me to keep up with my personal email as it is. My desire is to continue to promote the true Word of God.
Now I want to officially welcome to our forum, the Apostles Paul, James, Peter, John and Jude.

You know what I’d like to see in church some time? It’s never happened that I know of, but I think it would be cool. If a pastor took an epistle, and instead of reading it monotonously like a textbook, he used the epistle as a transcript for a sermon. The apostles wrote those letters as actual sermons. They referenced OT Scriptures as the basis of their message. What if a pastor stood up to preach, in a very natural, conversational voice, and then at the end, told his flock it was word-for-word 2 Peter?

So rather than preaching a message based on a text, he reads the epistle word for word, but not like reading, but he preaches it? Some ministers, rather than using outlines, write a sermon and read it to the congregation. Is that how you mean?

Yes that’s exactly what I mean. Suppose he handled an epistle as a prepared sermon, and he conversationally went through it word for word as closely as he could.

I know there have been public readings of the Bible, but I have never heard of anyone doing it that way. It would give you a perfect sermon! No wrong doctrine. I kind of like that. I need to give this some thought. Thanks for the suggestion.

Would you alter it at all or leave out introductions? Is the idea to not give away what you are doing till the end? Would you update the language or read it word for word from the King James?

Skip the first sentence that says the apostle’s name. You could change words like thee and thine. I think that if the words were brought up to date, it just might work. I didn't record it, but I did read the sermon by Stephen out loud to see how it would sound. I think that with minor changes to modernize the language, it might accomplish what it is intended to do. I have often wondered how people today would really receive messages from Jesus or the apostles.

I didn't think to do this before, but I want to welcome the Apostle Paul, Peter, James, John and Jude to Narrow Way Forums. Yes, we are very happy to have Paul, Peter, James, John and Jude adding to our forums! We know that whatever they say is absolute truth as it is the very words of God in scripture.

There has been a lot of spin about what Paul and the other Apostles said, so it acts as reminders of their actual words and in context.
