Where do we draw the line when it comes to false teachers? Do we ignore them? Do we avoid them? Do we expose them? Are there any Biblical guidelines for this?

I do not think we are called to be a fruit inspector. However...
i take into consideration if they are a false teacher because they have heard a false teaching and believed it or there is the other group that teaches falsely for selfish gain or whatever... they are full of the antiChrist spirit. first group i try to correct in love then rebuke and if still no repentance i have noting to do with them. I do not cast them off completely in the sense if they asked something of me and it was loving my neighbor to do or give then i would... but i dont fellowship with them. I do not think we should expose them to expose them as they are made in Gods image, however expose them so the babes in Christ are not polluted with heresy. the second group i do not think its wise to even speak to them and do expose them so the babes wont be polluted with heresy.
those with ears will either listen or not.
under no circumstance though is it ok to give a false teacher regardless of group 1 or 2 the stage or opportunity to spew half chewed bits of leavened bread dough. Shut them down. turn off the mic, take their keyboard, whatever is in your ability just short of duct tape... even though you might reeeealy want to.
this is the pattern over time God lead me to do with others. your mileage may vary. there is scripture but it was over months and months and i do not remember exactly where the bread crumbs were along The Way... but i do remember the lesson.
there are certain youtube channels that all they do is make videos about whats wrong with this or that or with so and so. while it might be true i dont finish those videos being edified. no life in it. "I thank the i am not like these others??? videos is what i call them"
as always... whats the attitude or intent of the heart? we are to seek first His kingdom and righteousness. The worst of the worst are cleaned up and in Gods kingdom. even Benny Hinn publicly turned... you never know what God will do and with who.
even myself... i have bowed the knee to baal, rejected Christ in every way and He had mercy on me. Came and took me, i didnt call on Him. He cant deny Himself.

I know there are instances where Paul warned believers about people they needed to beware of. In 2 Timothy 4:9-18, he says the following...
Do thy diligence to come shortly unto me: For Demas hath forsaken me; having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia. Only Luke is with me, Take Mark, and bring him with thee: for he is profitable to me for the ministry. And Tychicus have I sent to Ephesus. The cloak that I left at Troas with Carpus, when thou comest, bring with thee, and the books, but especially the parchments. Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil; the Lord reward him according to his works: Of whom be thou ware also; for he hath greatly withstood our words. At my first answer no man stood with me, but all men forsook me: I pray God that it may not be laid to their charge. Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear; and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion. And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. A-men.

I think there are times where we need to call out false teachers and false prophets, but I don't think it is over small errors. Nobody is 100 percent right all of the time. When it comes to serious heresy, we need to sound the warning.

I wouldn't either.

WE avoid them and warn out against them . Ensuring that not one goes anywhere near them .
And now a word from JESUS in revelation . Never the less I have THIS against YOU , YOU ALLOW . notice it says allow . You allow that false prophetess to teach and to seduce my people .
Ol frienduff has to go out the way I have to go out . Warning against all that is false and all that do teach and seduce . ANd always pointing to JESUS and pure bible sound doctrine . I make no apologies and I do what I do because I love the brethren , and Christ above all . We gotta go out as we gotta go out . FAITHFUL to CHRIST and always full bellies of bible doctrine . NOW , put those hands up and praise the LORD .
