The closer I get to God, the more abrasive it is to get backlash for posting Scripture.
I'm a little upset that she diverted the topic from what the Scripture said to how awful I am for posting it.
Still, it ended peacefully because I said we don't agree but God bless you. We all need to test ourselves, me included.
It's like your spending time with God in the secret place. You're enraptured by Him, amazed by His glory, thrilled about the things He is showing you. In love with his holiness.
But then you see Christians acting like to they don't want to obey or yield to Scripture or honor God first. It just makes me frustrated because God doesn't deserve that. He deserves our very best.

All of the excuses we make for sin... they're all so meaningless.
When I see some of the posts, I sometimes imagine them complaining before the throne of God.
"Sin is such a toxic cultural Christian term."
Really?
Sometimes I wonder at the patience of God. Why don't people see? Why don't they understand?
One taste of the excellence of God and we should want more. He is endlessly beautiful and worth obsessing over.
Nothing else even comes close. Why don't people see that?

I am not sure of the details of what happened, but I am with you on not understanding anyone attacking you for posting scripture! I can understand sinners not liking that, but not Christians. What can they possibly object to? As a general rule, I want people to post scriptures to back up what they say. All I can figure is that the two-edged sword was painful for this person to deal with. It did what it is supposed to do, brought conviction.

"Sin is such a toxic cultural Christian term." That is what I call mindless babble. Sin is a Bible word. Yes, I suppose it is part of our Christian culture, but that is why.

Thank you for this reminder, that Scripture is a two-edged Sword that brings conviction.
