Last year, my life was in total turmoil.
Overmedicated, marriage trouble, feelings of hopelessness, feeling without purpose, mastered by sin, very few friends.
I clung to my husband, just hoping to stay alive knowing he supported me.
He told me that if I could just hold on, God would show me my purpose and I'd be great at it.
I think God was speaking through Him.
Still, everything was difficult. Even getting out of bed. The only thing that I liked was sleep, so I could forget how sad and empty I felt.
I began to doubt my salvation, feeling condemned. God whispered, "If only you understood that I love you." But I couldn't hear anything else.
Most of all I envied Moses, who spoke to God in a cloud. I would do anything just to do that.
I started to pray more, saying I wouldn't leave until God appeared in the room. If I saw His face and died, so be it.
I started reading the Bible, and got shocked at how it emphasized total obedience. It also clarified what repentance actually was. I tried to figure out Walking by the Spirit. And of course, it was clear that salvation could be lost through disobedience and unbelief.
I decided that from the moment I woke up, I'd ask God what He wanted me to do at that moment. Then the next, and so on.
He immediately challenged my paralyzed confused behavior and sluggishness, leading me to take better care of myself, my husband, and the household...

I honestly didn't have time to sin because I was trying to handle each next direction from the Lord.
In following Him, each area of my life improved. The challenge of making each decision was taken away, making me more productive.
I discovered new friends that the Lord specifically pointed out as good people to be around. I discovered I honestly didn't care if I never got a career in my field and discovered what I actually wanted to do instead.
The goodness of God manifested in my life so profoundly. And now I know I'm saved because I feel the living water in my soul!
Pressing, praying, doing whatever it takes to get in God's presence was a game-changer for me. And nothing I gave up, hasn't been either returned or replaced with something better.
Jesus is Savior but He needs to be Master too.
It's for our good.

Mat 6:25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Mat 6:26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Mat 6:27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? Mat 6:28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: Mat 6:29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Mat 6:30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Mat 6:31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? Mat 6:32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. Mat 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Mat 6:34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

If we will put our trust in God when we are going through tough times, he can completely turn it around for our good, but we must do things His way. The Lord has performed miracles in your life.

Tabitha3319 Oh how marvellous! May the Lord continue to bless you. You have had such a difficult time, and Jesus has turned it all around for you, restored you and got you back on solid ground again. What a wonderful testimony. You may find that Jesus will use you to help others going through a hard time, because you will be able to understand and empathise and Jesus will use your dark times that you have been through, for good and His glory. He will also bless you as He does this. Whilst we remain in this world, Jesus told us that we would have trials and tribulations. They don’t stop until we get into eternity with Him. But when we go through these, Jesus teaches us to cling to Him, trust Him, remember that He is always in control of situations, keep reading that bible, praising Him and talking to Him. Also to listen to Him when He speaks to us. Jesus will bring us through. He promises that. And He tells us never to worry or be afraid because He is always with us. God bless you Naomi. You are a great witness.
