Something I have noticed as we have been pushing Bible knowledge, through encouraging people to read the Bible, posting scripture, and doing verse by verse studies, is now we have people openly disagreeing with the scriptures themselves. They will find excuses to disagree with Jesus, like when I had a person get upset when I posted how we are to watch and pray always that we be accounted worthy to escape those things to come upon the earth. He got mad that anyone would dare say we were not already made worthy. I was just quoting Jesus. Then we have teachings by the Apostles, and they are rejected as promoting out of date things that were cultural, or they are said to have been sexist. It is getting to the point, that in order to counter us showing what the Bible really teaches, that people are now deciding that perhaps the Bible is not inerrant after all. This is rather shocking, but on the other hand, I have known for a long time that men were claiming to hold to the Bible being the Word of God, but bringing us a different gospel than the Apostles and Jesus taught.
What would be an explanation for this behavior? Could it be that the churches want to control the masses by telling them that the Bible is the inerrant Word of God, but they discourage them from really doing an intense study of scripture without them as a guide? That way, they control them. They emphasize tithe paying, church attendance, things like that, but they find ways to avoid the things they do not like. I get criticized a lot for things I teach, but here is the thing. What I am criticized for is just holding to the position the Bible takes, exactly as written, and according to original intent. I am not supposed to do that. I am supposed to go along with the modern church that has spun things to make it more acceptable to today's culture. I am supposed to conform. There is one reason I will not do that, and never shall, no matter what. I really do believe the Bible is the inerrant Word of God. I do not just play like it to control people.
