One of the greatest threats the church faces today is the assault on God's Word. We have been lied to and told that all translations have errors and even that the RCC influenced the KJV translators to intentionally change the Bible to be RCC friendly or anti-Semitic. That is NOT true. We have been lied to and told scribal notes were added to the KJV Bible by mistake, along with other things that were not in the older manuscripts. More lies from the pits of hell.
The KJV Bible is fully trustworthy and using it exclusively will save you from many deceptions. Satan is using the modern translations to change the meaning, not make the Bible easier to understand. Many add to and remove things from the text. They can not be trusted. Also, the KJV has NOT been changed dozens of times. The 1611 Edition used old English spelling and included the 12 books of the Apocrypha in the middle because the translators saw value in them. The Authorized KJV Bible leaves the Apocrypha out, which was never considered part of the canon anyway, and only changes the spelling of words to how we spell them today. Any other so-called changes are fixing publishing errors, not changing the translation. The people making these false claims know the truth, but are servants of Satan that have crept into the church. I am not speaking of those that were deceived by the lies they read, but those who put this stuff out. Do not be deceived.

One of our members was approached with a favorite line of deceivers today. The question to him was, "Which KJV Bible do you use?" I have a copy of the 1611 KJV Bible. It does look different from today's Authorized Version, in that it uses old English spelling of the words, and old English typeset. It also uses Roman numerals. Other than that, the text of the 66 books that make up the canon are the same today. Knowing that, when people ask which KJV Bible you are using, what are they trying to imply?
1. They are going to claim the Apocrypha used to be included, but was removed. Is that true? It is true that the KJV Bible in 1611 did include 14 books called Apocrypha in the center. That was removed later on. Those books were never considered part of the canon, which is why they were in the center, out of logical order. That is no different than how different Bibles include things like maps, a concordance, a list of Holy days, any number of things. What has not been removed is any portion of the Biblical established canon.
2. They will claim that there were dozens of changes made to correct mistakes. Is that true? What they are speaking of is printing errors, not translation changes. All that happened is that some of the prints had spelling mistakes and things like that, and naturally they were corrected in the following edition. I have a Bible today with a spelling error. That is not a new KJV version. It is a typo.
The people who use this argument to attack the KJV only position know all of this. They are deceivers. This is a strategy they use. The KJV Bible is fully trustworthy and accurate, so why do they attack it and also push new translations? Because they do not want to be limited to the text of the KJV Bible, because that makes it hard for them to alter the meaning. They do not want anything to be black and white. They want to be able to claim to believe in inerrancy of scripture, but not the Bible we have today. They want to have their cake and eat it too. We have to be on guard today.

John, you won't believe what I saw in the Mars Hill dungeon today. I see you have a thread on the KJV Bible, and it is a perfect place to tell you. One thing that those of us who are KJV only warn about is how they will create translations with an agenda, where they will willfully change the text to make it read like they desire it does. Boy did I see that today! A fellow inmate, who happens to promote the OSAS doctrine, posted what he claimed were 2 verses of scripture to show OSAS in the Bible. Problem was, it was completely different in the real Bible. He was claiming to be posting Philippians 1:6, and in his version, it goes like this...
"God who began salvation in the born again, will HIMSELF be FAITHFUL to Complete it."
In the real Bible, it says...
"Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ."
In another post, he quotes what he claims is Romans 4:8 like this...
"Blessed are the born again to whom God does not charge sin."
In the real Bible, it says this...
"Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin."
In neither case does the Bible use the words "born again." This person either has a Bible, tailor made and perverted for OSAS believers, or he just lied about the content of the verses, and intentionally paraphrased them this way to trick those who don't know any better. Either way, it shows why people at places like WCF want everyone to accept modern English translations.

That is amazing! If he comes back and tells you the name of a real paraphrase or translation he got that from, let me know. I need to have a copy! I can use it for future messages on why we need to stand firm on the KJV Bible. If he just twisted the verses on purpose, it speaks volumes about the guy who said it.
