THE PATH OF RIGHTEOUSNESS:
“ Thou wilt show me the path of life: In thy presence is the fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. “ Psalm 16:11
Are you striving to be in His presence or are you striving for Him to be in your plans. We must be remember He will show us the path for our lives and in finding that path we find the fullness of the joy which can only be found in his perfect will. That path doesn’t mean there will not be any pain, peril, or persecution, it simply means that as we pray ourselves into his presence we will find joy unspeakable and full of glory, we will find places of pleasure that excite us, ignite us; and then endear us to him.
( 9) I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. Revelation 1:9 KJV
Hey Guys I love people I really do, but I wonder why our generation is any different in the minds of some Christians than any other generation. Let’s take John the Baptist for instance who started the revival that ended up revealing the Christ, one would contend that John was in the center of God’s will.
Then we see Jesus who cried out in Gethsemane “ not my will but thy will be done ‘ whom endure beatings, interrogations, and finally crucifixion, one would contend he was in the center of God’s will;
(2) Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
(3) For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.
(4) Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin. Hebrews 12:2-4 KJV
Then we have the persecution of the Apostles and converts, and then there is the Apostle Paul and the Apostle John on the Isle of Patmos being punished for the gospel who wrote “ The Revelation of Jesus Christ “.
Would anyone in right reason say these men were not burdened, were not weary, and were not striving? Would anyone in right reason say these men were striving against God’s will? Answer: of course they wouldn’t.
Why? Because being in the center of God’s will does not assure us we will not be burdened, will not be weary, or striving, it does assure us that we will find peace that passes comprehension to contend to do the work of God. Being burdened, being wearied, and striving are elements of prayer, and prayer is two way communication. Not only petitioning and interceding, but also worshipping and praising, while also having a spiritual sensitive hearing ear. The following verse can also apply:
(33) These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. John 16:33 KJV
Jesus never promised us would not have trials if we got in his perfect will, to the contrary, he told us we would have tribulation. James follows this up with great counsel through the unction of the Holy Spirit.
(2) My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
(3) Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
(4) But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
(5) If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
(6) But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
(7) For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
(8) A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. James 1:2-8 KJV
Brethren, Yes God still saves, heals, delivers, and blesses His people; but when things get tight in the midst of his will don’t lose sight of the content of the call. Put your hand to the plow and keep plowing the field in front of you. Keep sowing seeds, and keep working the word, God will bring you through to the other side one way or another. This has been another faith fact from a faith perspective!
