The question is: Would you crucify Him again?
Many would (obviously) answer: No.
And yet many are doing exactly that on a daily basis. And how?!
The answer: Through their own works.
❝He who does not love Me does not keep My words;
and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me.❞ - John 14:24
Just as the religious leaders of that time crucified Him because they did not love His words, today many are crucifying Him again because they do not love, and consequently, do not keep His words.
❝He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.❞ - 1 John 2:6
❝For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps:
“Who committed no sin,
Nor was deceit found in His mouth”...❞ - 1 Peter 2:21-22
We know very well that those who crucified Jesus Christ did so because of one thing: They did not love Him.
❝for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.❞ - John 12:43
And by going against His own words many would crucify Him again if He was among us...
but in one way or another, He is still among us:
❝Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.❞ - 2 Corinthians 3:17
So, we conclude that they cannot only harm the Lord by walking contrary to His word they can also harm Himself by going against His brethren, and we know that in order to go against the Lord's brethren one must walk contrary to His word.
❝...Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me...❞ - Matthew 25:40
❝...As God has said:
“I will dwell in them And walk among them.
I will be their God, And they shall be My people.”❞ - 2 Corinthians 6:16
Do not crucify Him again.
❝For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins...❞ - Hebrews 10:26
❝For we know Him who said, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord...❞ - Hebrews 10:30
❝...Because, when I called, no one answered, When I spoke they did not hear;
But they did evil before My eyes, And chose that in which I do not delight.❞ - Isaiah 66:4
Conclusion:
❝...He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.❞ - 2 Corinthians 5:15
May God bless you in Jesus' name!
