THE MIND; WHY IS IT?
God chose the mind; God made the mind; the mind being the place of presence where all things are produced through reason; it is called the soul; the evident seat of our emotions. It is a construct of consciousness; and the evidence of reality is the product of my mind. I am because He is; the summation or the conclusion which reason affords me.
(12) Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
(13) Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
(14) But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
(15) But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
(16) For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:12-16 KJV
The mind has several abilities; yet can be lulled into a hypnotic state. The mind is also able to compartmentalize itself and to distort reality to its own detriment. The brain is multi-faceted which is a biological organ and houses more than synaptic impulses sparking a balance between neurotransmitters and ordering the physical functions of the body. It is the center of the mind, will, and emotions. The brain can be manipulated, damaged, or destroyed. It is Key to keeping our physical existence and wellbeing. From the cerebellum to the cerebral cortex and parietal lobe not to mention the other parts of the brain which concern memory, emotions, learning, and reasoning power; the brain is an amazing organ. It defines consciousness, reason, and agility; but doesn’t define the eternal state of the soul. Without the answer to that most basic question of “why am I” life would have no meaning or purpose we would be nothing more than meat robots and would have no use for defining morals; it would be true to just accept that the survival of the fittest among us would be the goal of life and that there would be no crime in a society built without morals. Yet in the inner most of everyone’s being; even the most ardent atheist has a core set of morals which they ascribe and adhere too.
Through the brain’s attributes a mere human being can be subjected to rigorous indoctrination without a clue to what is happening to them. Especially; when people have experienced traumatic events in their childhood! The more dramatic the trauma the more susceptible a person is to indoctrination or mind control. There are those who look for this and then capitalize upon this weakness in the construct of those traumatized people. We could probably sit and write volumes about how predators in the form of different ideologies, philosophies, and political sciences use their knowledge of the mind to seduce and then induce their victims; it’s quite amazing as we look at current events. We see how the ideals of the left which use to be more liberal than communist have been forced into the construct of our youth in liberal colleges across the country. We can see how the youth of today are more acceptable of the abominations which have polluted our Judeo-Christian society. We see how acceptable they are to socialism, communism, and to atheism. Our colleges have produced a counter culture which wants to cancel Christian culture. We have sown to the wind and have reaped a whirlwind!
There are processes of thought that now regulate my development of life. I am a spirit, I have a soul, and I dwell in a body for this space time continuum; but there is a day coming in which I will more certainly be freed from the anchor of flesh that binds me to this world. I am constantly being renewed in the spirit of my mind. Although I dwell in this corporeal realm my mind dwells in ethereal realm of spirituality. My meditation is upon the living word which is spirit and truth. I am sojourning through the travails of earthly reality heading toward the celestial city the New Jerusalem.
There came a new consciousness that rose within me when I received Christ and was baptized in the Holy Spirit. That new consciousness was revelatory opening a new avenue of perspectives that were not dormant as some say; but part of the package of the new spiritual creature which was birthed in that moment of total surrender to the message of repentance and trading my sins for a new life in Christ. At that point there was an infusion of spirit a restoration to the pristine state of the consciousness of God. There is an ability to sense his presence and to discern his unction and guidance in the course of a moment, an hour, or a day or season. There is comfort in the fact that God knows my nakedness; that I cannot hide one thought from his omniscience. I know what is of the Spirit and invisible is the reality which I will transcend too; on that appointed day when corruption will put on incorruption and mortality will put on immortality. I understand the realness of God and the realness of spirituality and how when I am guided by the Holy Spirit and keep the Word of God in my heart; I possess the mind of Christ. It is a mind that transcends the minds of mankind and a mind that does not expire once the body has died and decayed. Yet neither does the carnal mind; for it will also follow the possessor into eternity and reality of things which were made real through reason will haunt their souls; world without end.
Brethren I’ve written this in hopes that the body of Christ will not take the mind and mentality of Christ for granted. How important that it is to know that it transcends the reality and takes us into the presence of God. It connects us to God in ways that bless our existence and gives assurance that we will reside in heaven one day. It lets us know that we are separate from other creatures because man is the crown of creation created a little lower than angels. To those who do not know Jesus I have explained the difference between those who are enlightened by God and those who are in darkness following false illumination.
Father I pray that you open the eyes of understanding concerning the mind of Christ! I pray that you touch those who do not know you or understand you because of the scales of blindness which are over their eyes. O Lord I pray that your Spirit would touch those who proclaim their so-called truth and show them how lost they truly are. Let them know and understand that the truth is found in your word.
(31) Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
(32) And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. John 8:31-32 KJV
The word of God produces and processes truth which is life changing and life enhancing. We must continue in that word and we will continue in the mind of Christ.
(6) Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
(7) If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
John 14:6-7 KJV
Brethren take the word and hide it in your heart and you shall know God and his truth shall sustain you! Selah!
