Philippians 2:12 says, "Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling."
Every Christian whether they know it or not is working out their salvation but not all are doing it God's way. Many are living careless and with no regard for God or His instructions. We are told to work out our salvation with fear and trembling and I believe the Bible means what it says.
Nobody is going to make you do that. We each have to run our own race. Some will run it down the broad road to destruction and some will run it down the narrow road to the straight gate that enters Heaven. You can't run my race for me and I can't run your race for you. We all need to figure out what road we are running down and if we are working out our salvation in a way that leads to Heaven or Hell.
Time is short and God is not playing around. Once this race is run that is it. We arrive in Heaven or in Hell. How are you working out your salvation? Are you doing so carelessly or with fear and trembling? Now is the time to make up your mind. Are you compromising with sin or grey areas? Are you living sold out to Jesus? What you do now has eternal consequences.

By the way, God gave this warning to me, so I am not pointing fingers.
