The Holy Bible has a lot to say about the sin of adultery, which it defines as the act of sexual intercourse between a married person and someone who is not their spouse. Adultery is considered a serious sin in the Bible and is condemned throughout both the Old and New Testaments.
In the Old Testament, the Ten Commandments include the commandment, "Thou shalt not commit adultery" Exodus 20:14. The book of Proverbs warns against the dangers of adultery. "For the lips of a strange woman drop as an honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil: But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword" Proverbs 5:3-4. The book of Leviticus also prescribes severe punishments for those who commit adultery, including death for both the adulterer and the adulteress, Leviticus 20:10.
In the New Testament, Jesus himself speaks out against adultery, saying, "Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart," Matthew 5:27-28. The Apostle Paul also condemns adultery in his letters, calling it a sin that will keep people from inheriting the kingdom of God, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10.
Overall, the Bible teaches that adultery is a serious sin that can have severe consequences both in this life and the next. It emphasizes the importance of faithfulness and commitment in marriage and warns against the dangers of giving in to lust and temptation.

And as paul once wrote , let all who name the name of Christ Jesus , depart from inquity. To abstain from all appearance of evil . To let it not once be named . The problem within many churches is , they quit beholding both the goodness and severity of God . They took to not seeing sin as the deadly thing it is . Quit warning against it And thus in time it becomes accepted even as good . Leaven will leaven the lump . Purge out therefore the old leaven . If we would simply learn the pattern JESUS set and later , by the SPIRIT , the apostels would teach to the church . It keeps us safe as HE KEEPS us safe . THE LORD knows how to keep us and build us up . Let us follow the pattern of all things left to us in the bible and the church will be built up , edified , well learned and no longer will folks be tossed to and fro by ever subtile deceptoins of men and their fables . Yes indeed john . Let us march onward in the LORD , reminding and keeping the peoples and all stirred up by the pure way of remembrance .
