This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false, accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 2 Timothy 3:1-5
In this passage, the Apostle Paul warns his spiritual son, Timothy, about the characteristics of the last days. These words are as relevant today as they were when they were written. We live in a world that is increasingly marked by self-centeredness, immorality, and a rejection of godly values. As believers, we are called not only to recognize the signs of the times but also to stand firm in the face of these challenges.
1. Perilous Times: The world around us is becoming more spiritually and morally dangerous. The temptations and trials we face are on the rise. But take heart, for God has not left us defenseless. In times of uncertainty, we can find solace and strength in His Word. The Bible equips us for every good work and prepares us to navigate the treacherous paths that lie ahead.
2. A Call to Holiness: As followers of Christ, we are called to live lives distinct from the world. The passage describes a long list of negative attributes that will characterize people in the last days. However, we are called to counteract these tendencies by cultivating godly virtues. Let us strive to be selfless, content, humble, respectful, grateful and holy. It is through the transformation of our hearts that we can influence the world around us for the better.
3. Turning Away: While we are called to be a light in the darkness, we must also exercise caution. Paul urges Timothy to turn away from those who reject true godliness while maintaining a form of godliness. We are to discern between true disciples of Christ and those who merely put on a religious facade. Our association with the ungodly can compromise our own faith and hinder our spiritual growth. Therefore, let us be intentional about the company we keep, seeking fellowship with those who encourage and strengthen us in our walk with God.
In conclusion, as we perceive the signs of the last days, let us not lose heart or be overcome by the prevailing darkness. Instead, let us stand firm in our faith, anchored in the unchanging truth of God's Word. May we shine as beacons of light, reflecting the love of Christ in a world desperately in need of hope. Remember, God has not abandoned us; He is with us in every trial and will empower us to navigate the perilous times. Stay faithful, seek godliness, and trust in the Lord's unwavering guidance.

For of this sort are they which creep into houses and lead captive silly women laden with sins led away with divers lusts, ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was. But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience, persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me. Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. 2 Timothy 3:6-12
In these verses, the Apostle Paul addresses the opposition and challenges that Timothy, his spiritual son, will encounter in his ministry. The words of Paul are a reminder to us as believers that we too will face resistance and persecution as we live out our faith in a world hostile to the truth of the Gospel. However, in the face of opposition, we are called to persevere and remain steadfast in our devotion to Christ.
1. Identifying False influences: Paul warns Timothy about those who creep into households and deceive the vulnerable individuals with their false teachings and immoral lifestyles. As believers, we must be discerning and cautious, guarding ourselves against false influences that lead us away from the truth. Let us be diligent in studying the Word of God, so that we may recognize and refute false doctrines, remaining firmly grounded in the knowledge of the truth.
2. Withstanding Opposition: Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses in the days of old, there will always be those who resist the truth and oppose the Gospel message. We should not be surprised when we encounter opposition, for the enemy seeks to hinder the spread of God's truth. Yet, we can take comfort in the assurance that the folly of those who oppose the truth will eventually be exposed. We can trust in God's sovereignty and His ability to bring to light all that is hidden in darkness.
3. The Call to Perseverance: Paul reminds Timothy of his own example, his doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience, and the persecutions and afflictions he endured for the sake of Christ. As believers, we are not exempt from trials and tribulations. However, we can draw strength from the knowledge that the Lord is faithful and will deliver us from every trial we face. Our perseverance in the face of opposition is a testimony to the power and faithfulness of our God.
4. Embracing Persecution: Paul affirms that all who live godly in Christ Jesus will face persecution. Our commitment to Christ and our desire to live according to His Word may bring about opposition from the world. However, we should not be discouraged but rather see persecution as a confirmation that we are living out our faith authentically. Let us embrace the opportunity to share in the sufferings of Christ, knowing that He will sustain us and reward us for our faithfulness.
In conclusion, as we navigate a world that often opposes the truth of the Gospel, let us remember that our faith is not in vain. Though we may face opposition and persecution, we can find strength and encouragement in knowing that God is with us every step of the way. He is our refuge and our deliverer.
As we encounter false influences, let us be diligent in studying God's Word and seeking His wisdom. By doing so, we will be equipped to recognize and refute false teachings, remaining steadfast in the knowledge of the truth. Let us be discerning in the company we keep, surrounding ourselves with fellow believers who will encourage and strengthen us in our faith.
When facing opposition, let us not grow discouraged or fearful. The enemy may resist the truth, but we can stand firm in the power of God's Word. Trust in His faithfulness and the assurance that the folly of those who oppose the truth will be exposed. In the midst of trials, let us emulate the example of Paul, persevering in our faith, demonstrating love, patience, and longsuffering.
Finally, let us embrace persecution as a badge of honor rather than a cause for despair. It is through our willingness to endure hardships for the sake of Christ that we bear witness to His transformative power in our lives. We can find solace in knowing that just as the Lord delivered Paul from his persecutions, He will also deliver us.
In our journey of faith, let us remember that we are not alone. God is with us, guiding and strengthening us through every trial. May we walk in the footsteps of Paul and countless others who have gone before us, boldly proclaiming the truth of the Gospel, regardless of the opposition we may face. Let our lives be a testament to the power of God's grace, shining as lights in a world that desperately needs the hope and love of Christ.

In these last days there has been a delusion that has grown massive . Its grown under the guise of a love that cometh of the world and not of God . The love that comes from GOD , loves truth , rejoices in truth and will not love evil nor call evil good . Yet today we have this love that was spun by the dragon who desires all worship to be as God . It denies absolute truth . It has made the path to GOD very wide , very broad to include all religons . It will honor certain sins and the more that one goes under it the more resentful towards TRUTH they become .

But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
In a world that often seems to be spiraling into chaos and confusion, it is important for us, as believers, to anchor ourselves in the unchanging truth of God's Word. The apostle Paul, in his letter to Timothy, exhorted him to remain steadfast and immovable in the face of increasing deception and wickedness. These words are just as relevant and applicable to us today.
Paul warned Timothy that evil men and seducers would continue to increase in their deception. The world around us may grow darker, and the values and morals of society may shift, but as followers of Christ, we are called to stand firm in the truth. We must not be swayed by popular opinion or be deceived by the subtlety of the enemy's lies.
Paul reminds Timothy of his spiritual heritage and the importance of the Holy Scriptures. From a young age, Timothy had been taught and trained in the Word of God. Likewise, we have been blessed with the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make us wise unto salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. The Bible is not just an ancient book; it is the living and inspired Word of God.
The Scriptures hold immeasurable power. They are profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness. They provide us with a solid foundation of truth, guiding us in our beliefs and values. When we encounter doubts or face opposition, we can turn to God's Word for clarity and affirmation. It corrects us when we veer off course and instructs us in the ways of righteousness.
As we study and meditate on the Word of God, it equips us to live a life that is pleasing to Him. It shapes our character, molds our thinking, and transforms our hearts. The Scriptures not only reveal who God is but also reveal who we are in Christ. They empower us to live out our faith and walk in obedience to God's commands.
The ultimate purpose of immersing ourselves in God's Word is to become men and women of God who are complete and thoroughly equipped for every good work. It is not enough to merely possess knowledge of the Scriptures; we are called to apply that knowledge in our daily lives. As we allow God's Word to take root in our hearts, we are transformed into vessels that bring glory to Him.
In a world filled with confusion and uncertainty, let us be a people who stand firm on the unchanging truth of God's Word. Let us study it diligently, meditate on it continually, and apply it faithfully. The Scriptures are not just words on a page, but they are the very breath of God, guiding us, strengthening us, and leading us closer to Him. May we be a people who are rooted in the Word, shining forth the light of Christ in a darkened world.
Today, let us commit ourselves to be diligent study of God's Word. Let us approach it with reverence and humility, seeking the guidance of the Holy Spirit to illuminate its truth. As we read, let us open our hearts to receive its message, allowing it to penetrate deep within us and transform us from the inside out.
In our pursuit of godly wisdom and understanding, let us also remember the importance of remaining connected to the community of believers. We are not meant to navigate this journey alone but to come together, encouraging and sharpening one another through the sharing of God's Word. In fellowship and discussion, we can gain fresh insights and perspectives that deepen our understanding of Scripture.
Furthermore, as we grow in knowledge and wisdom through the study of God's Word, let us not neglect its practical application in our lives. The Scriptures are not simply a collection of stories and teachings but a living guidebook for holy living. They reveal God's desires for us and provide practical instructions for navigating the challenges we face.
When we encounter moments of doubt, confusion, or temptation, let us turn to the Word of God as our anchor of truth. It is through Scripture that we find comfort, encouragement, and guidance. It is through Scripture that we are reminded of God's faithfulness, His promises, and His unchanging character. In times of uncertainty, God's Word becomes our firm foundation, providing stability and direction.
In conclusion, let us heed the timeless wisdom of Paul's exhortation to Timothy and apply it to our lives today. In a world where evil and deception abound, let us remain steadfast in the truth of God's Word. Let us immerse ourselves in its pages, allowing it to shape our beliefs, attitudes, and actions. As we do so, we will find ourselves growing is wisdom, being transformed by its power, and equipped for every good work.
May the Word of God be a lamp to our feet and a light to our path, guiding us in righteousness and leading us closer to the heart of our Heavenly Father. May we be men and women who stand firm in the truth, unshaken by the storms of life, and shining brightly as beacons of hope and love in a world that desperately needs it.

That’s right brothers John and Frienduff. We need to be hearers and doers of the Word. Be Holy because our Father in Heaven is Holy. We must heed the Holy Spirit and not the flesh and we must stay diligent in our bible reads.
