LET US REJOICE
I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High. (Psalms 9:2 KJV)
(1) Rejoice in your conversion.
(2) Rejoice in your peace, promises, and privileges as children of God.
(3) Rejoice in your knowledge and intimacy with Christ and His love.
(4) Rejoice in your hope of glory (the calling up and transformation of the body of Christ)
We are blessed and highly favored of the Most High! We are born of the Spirit and have abundant life in our God.
We are empowered to be more than conquers through him whom is greater in us than he who is in the world. We are the redeemed of the Lord let us rejoice and be glad in our heart of hearts the very innermost of our being!
(16) Rejoice evermore.
(17) Pray without ceasing.
(18) In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
(19) Quench not the Spirit. 1st Thessalonians 5:16-19 KJV
FOUR WONDERFUL DYNAMICS OF OUR FAITH
Rejoicing
Prayer
Thanksgiving
Power of the Spirit
When we do not practice the principles of our faith by rejoicing, by praying, by giving thanks in all things, we are inadvertently quenching the Spirit in our lives.
Points to Consider
1. When we neglect or resist His operations. When the Spirit stirs us up, we should stir up ourselves and our gifts, lest we quench the Spirit.
2. When we allow our mind to be diverted from spiritual concerns, and dwell in vain imaginations and unfruitful activities. The love of pleasure extinguishes our love of God when we fulfill the lusts of the flesh it renders walking in the Spirit impossible.
3. Having inordinate affections towards any earthly object causes us to quench the Spirit becoming numb to the unction that brings conviction, and conversion. When one’s life is consumed by the pursuit of worldly gain, the power of godliness is seldom found.
Rejoicing is practicing our delightfulness in our salvation which is undergirded by prayer and thanksgiving. For we know in Christ all things work together whether they’re good or bad for the good of those whom love God are called according to his purposes. Jesus exhorts us on how to keep our joyfulness abundant and active.
7 "If you continue in me and my sayings continue in you, ask what you will and it shall be done for you.
8 By this is God glorified—by your bearing abundant fruit and thus being true disciples of mine.
9 As the Father has loved me, I have also loved you: continue in my love.
10 If you obey my commands, you will continue in my love, as I have obeyed my Father's commands and continue in His love.
11 "These things I have spoken to you in order that I may have joy in you, and that your joy may become perfect. John 15:7-11 (WEY)
Brethren keep the faith today by applying the word of God to every facet of life and allowing the Holy Spirit to express himself through you. When you do this you will find that life is truly amazing and full of joy that is unspeakable in plausible word that are adequate, but can only be expressed by the actions of our lives. Selah!
