As for Bibles I have in print, its KJV, NASB, NLT, and John Maxwell’s Leadership Study Bible in NKJ. I enjoy listening to The Mesage on audio for a bedtime story. It’s no scholarly study Bible, but it puts me to sleep.
I would also recommend:
Releasing The Spirit by Watchman Nee The Divine Intercessor by Gary Wilkerson St Augustine’s Confession The Pursuit of God by AW Tozer Miracles by CS Lewis Pensees by Blaise Pascal
I’ve read lots of others, but those books impacted me in some way.

The only books on that list I have read is "What The Bible Is All About," which was required to get my minister's license in the PHC. It is a good book for a general over view of the Bible. The other book I read on the list was "Pilgrim's Progress," 3 times. If you can find one, I recommend "Abington Strong's Exhaustive Concordance," with the Strong's Greek and Hebrew Dictionary, not Vines. I haven't read the C.S. Lewis books either of you recommended, but I did like "Screwtape Letters." There was a book I read recently by the late evangelist Wiggelsworth I enjoyed, about his life. I downloaded it for free.
The only Bibles I use are the Authorized King James Version and the 1611 King James Version. I don't trust the modern translations at all. I have read a lot of Christian books over the years, but not many I can fully recommend. I have read a lot of the writings of the early church from places like the Wesleyan reading room, but I am cautious with extra-Biblical stuff. I like Myles Munroe's material on being an ambassador for God, and some of his kingdom teaching, but some of what he says is not Biblical.
