Last night, I was wrestling with what to call this new message board. I wrote down about a dozen possibilities before deciding to go with "Narrow Way forums." Of course, that is based on the words of Jesus Christ in the Sermon on the Mount. He said...
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
This should be a serious warning to all Christians. There are so few out there with any fear of God. The mindset of the modern church is that God is our daddy, and in his eyes, we can do no wrong. There is no need to worry about following God's standards, because it is all about grace. Most are teaching that the ones who will face damnation are those who dare to suggest we should be concerned with our Christian walk. That is clearly in opposition to what Jesus said.
Jesus warns us that the majority are on the broad road leading to the wide gate, the entrance to a place of destruction, which is hell, and few are on the narrow way that leads to the straight gate that leads to life, in the presence of God in heaven. Jesus went away to prepare a mansion for his children. If it were not so, he would have told us, but many have been deceived into thinking everyone that simply names the name of Christ has an inheritance in the city of God. If you have been lukewarm and careless in your Christian walk, now is the time to repent and change roads. The time is short till the Lord returns, and nobody has any promise of their next breath, let alone tomorrow. Today is the day of salvation. Today is the acceptable time to make things right with God. If you are not sure you would make it to heaven should you die today, I urge you to call on the Lord right now and make things right, and then get up and go and sin no more.

Butero. Praise the Lord .
The way is narrow that leads unto Life , found only IN Christ and those who are HIS love His sayings . We feast on them. We by grace learn From Him . The broad way is any other way , any other jesus that contradicts The biblical ONE is also a broad way road. And to each and all, TODAY is the day to begin afresh and anew in HIM. Let it not be heard on HIS day I never knew you . Let us study and learn HIS pattern , His sayings and the apostels taught that very pattern. My soul is on fire for the Lord . I will go and tell Four D as well. Butero, I noticed something . At one time it had me on susans site . I don't know how that happened . But sure enough I was on it . Do you know susan.

I am not sure who you are talking about. Is that a site you have ever visited before? Perhaps she uses the same service, and your computer recognized the address? Anyway, I am glad you found this place alright. Invite anyone you think is looking for a place where we can discuss spiritual matters without getting into a fight. There are a lot of people at Worthy Christian Forums that are only tolerated, not wanted there, and people know when they are not wanted.
Anyway, praise the Lord. I am happy to see it up and running. I am not exactly a computer whiz. It took me several hours to do the set up, but overall, I am happy with the results.

Well, many people are unconcerned with their walk because they are not looking forward to live in heaven with the Lord.
❝Again, the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and for joy over it he goes and sells all that he has and buys that field.❞ - Matthew 13:44
Because if they really wanted to, they would desire to behave accordingly.
❝for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.❞ - Romans 14:17

They even believe that trying to live right will send you to hell for supposedly trying to get saved by the works of the law. Of course, that is not what any of us are really doing, but that is what they say. They turn everything upside down, and make it virtuous not to care about how you live.

...They even believe that trying to live right will send you to hell for supposedly trying to get saved by the works of the law... It is not about trying to live right, it is believing and consequently living the way we all should: As the Lord Jesus did.
"He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil." - 1 John 3:8
And obviously, if you walk as He did you end up living right.
"Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous." - 1 John 3:7
We walk by faith, we walk in the Spirit; the Spirit of Christ.
"Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ." - 1 Corinthians 11:1
God bless you in Jesus' name!

It is exhortation time. Raise those hands and praise the Lord .
Time for wonderful reminders .
Blessed are the poor in spirit for their is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed and they who mourn for they shall be comforted Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth Blessed are those which do HUNGER and THIRST after righteousness for they shall be FILLED Blessed are the merciful for they shall obtain mercy And blessed are the Pure in HEART for they shall SEE GOD.
You shall love the Lord our God with all the heart , ALL the soul , ALLL the might and your neighbor as yourself . And now a word . JESUS said all things He heard from the Father he did and spoke. And JESUS said he who Loves ME keeps my sayings . SO , if we don't keep those sayings then we do not know him nor love him. Thus we do not know nor love GOD . and no matter how much we give to the poor we cannot love our neighbor IF WE don't truly LOVE JESUS above all things . We need to ensure we follow Only Christ and not this sensual love that honors not the son nor the father . Let us focus on JESUS sayings and stir one another up unto good works , living walking by the SPIRIT that resides and guides all who are HIS . You all are loved . Just praise the Lord . and again let us rejoice in the LORD >

God bless you in Jesus' name! Yes , we must keep reminding to walk holy , to live righteously In Christ . The early church was huge on that . and it was needful .

We shouldn't be satisfied just believing Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God. Saving faith is the beginning, but then, we are to become disciples of Jesus. The objective is to die to self and become like him. That means taking up our cross daily to follow the Lord.

Praise the Lord butero. Saving faith IS the beginning , from the momement we believe OUR walk BEGINS and our desire should be to know Him only more . to Honor Him in all things we do and say . We do die to self and become more like Him. Oh that He pours His goodness n our hearts only more . We need Him every moment . So let us seek him only more and to learn of Him. read that wonderful holy bible more , pray more , exhort one another daily . Let the entire focus be on Him and to learning sound doctrine, His pattern. The bible is filled with The very meat of His words which will feed us and we will grow in Him by the Spirit .

Frienduff, her site is on this same freeforums service.....when you tried to register the system probably recognized you and sent you to her site. I got confused when I tried to register because I'm still in the system too but didn't know it right away.

And you are proud! Shouldn’t you rather have gone into mourning and have put out of your fellowship the man who has been doing this?

I recently read that one of the gates into Jerusalem was named "The Eye of the Needle," and was quite tricky to negotiate, since it was quite small. Does this mean that when Jesus said "It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven," He meant that, far from being impossible, it was merely tricky?
The interpretation that seems to make sense to me is this. The "Eye of the Needle" was indeed a narrow gateway into Jerusalem. Since camels were heavily loaded with goods and riders, they would need to be un-loaded in order to pass through. Therefore, the analogy is that a rich man would have to similarly unload his material possessions in order to enter heaven.

I have heard some say you would literally have to take everything off the camel, or at least the camel would have to go down very low towards the ground to get through the very small entrance to the city. We do know that when asked who can be saved, Jesus said that with man it is impossible, but with God, all things are possible.
