It was mentioned in one of the posts, this: "In order for me to decide what to do, I had to ask myself some questions. First, is it evil to recognize and celebrate the birth and resurrection of my Lord?".
And the answer to this in and of itself, of course is no.
But there must be other questions that must be carefully asked as well, and we must look into the word of God to see if other questions will match up with God's word.
Roots really does matter to God and we cannot ignore this, otherwise we are ignoring part of God's word.
We cannot serve our God in any which way we want, it must be done his way, in every way or point.
Now none of us is perfect of course, but thank God for his mercy and patience with us.
Eze 44:23 (23) And they shall teach my people the difference between the holy and profane, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean.
Can you mix the holy and profane together?
Of course not.
So if a celebration is to be pure, it cannot be mixed with things that God warns us about not to do, nor can it be mixed with pagan roots.
The purity of things is important to God.
The source or root of things is important to God.
I will get more into this in a bit.

The root of its source is of great importance . You right giller. To take from evil and try and christanize it is of great evil . Many examples of this . like their meditation pratices . example turning yoga into christain yoga. or mysticism into christain mysticism . and the list just goes on and on . We know the festival event of Halloween is evil . But to then try and christainize it by changing the costumes , IS STILL of great evil . Besides all that , look at the focus on even super heroes . Superman, wonderwoman , fairies , and so on . The focus or idea BEHIND even the super hero IS man IS the great one . And the world needs man or woman to save or rescue it . I mean truly their is nothing good in Halloween . Folks can try and comfort their conscious by saying , its just super heroe costumes we aint dressing up as devils or witches . BUT the source is evil , and even the idea behind super heroes is all Humanity focused . its evil all the way around and folks who are in churches do not want to see this . They do anything to try and overcome the conviction , by saying its harmless to hand out candy . ON that night , IT AINT . its tied into the act . Or they say we can dress up and witness. NO NEED to dress up , BUT WITNESS all night if you want too. The same with any holiday that has pagan roots . Example if one truly desires to celebrate Passover , what is known as easter or good Friday . THEN keep all pagan roots out of it . HOW can we truly HONOR GOD , by not mixing the evil into our honoring OF HIM. SEE, the real matter is , that they are not really doing these FOR GOD , its more for them and the event itself . But they claim its for GOD . NO , if it was for GOD , we would worship HIM in SPIRIT and TRUTH and KEEP it HOLY unto HIM in all that we do or say .

18) Lest there should be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose heart turneth away this day from the LORD our God, to go and serve the gods of these nations; lest there should be among you a root that beareth gall and wormwood;
When GILLER REMINDED US OF THIS , a very clear and precise thing came to me . LOOK at the SPIRIT of wormwood getting dumped on churches and the world in these last days . AN inclusive spirit of wormwood , of gathering with all religions and faiths under a spirit of a collective good for unity, YET this has caused a STRONG ROOT to bear up and now we hearing things like chrislam , or all paths valid. THEY in agreement with other gods , and yet THINK its the one GOD . TALK about waters of wormwood that many are drinking up and its causing spiritiual death in all who do so . ITS a drink of wormwood being poured unto the churches that flows straight from the whores cup of fornication with other gods . SHE is pouring her cup out now , and her daughters are passing it into other churches as well. Its a drink of fornication against GOD and all that is HOLY . A blending mixture causing all to unite under a false unity . YALL KNOW THIS IS TRUE . DEEP DOWN yall KNOW IT IS . A strong drink of wormwood is being poured out now and by its end , it will have gathered the faiths and other religions and all not in the lambs book of life and they , under the power of the head of all evil , a wicked counsler will rise , the head of all evil will stand and the great tribiulatoin hour will begin . THIS is their drink and where and who it will lead all not in the lambs book of life right too . AND THEN as one AGAINST the true lambs .

Right now I want to mention stuff about Halloween. I can see that most agree that Halloween is not of God. Here is some history: (www.chick.com/seasonal/halloween/halloweenhistory.asp)
(…Many Christians celebrate holidays, such as Halloween, without thinking about their origins or true meaning. It is impossible to separate Halloween from the Druids because they originated the "holiday."
For several hundred years before Christ, the Celts inhabited what is now France, Germany, England, Scotland and Ireland. Celtic priests were called Druids. These people were eventually conquered by the Romans.
Information about the Celts and Druids comes from Caesar and the Roman historians, Greek writings from about 200 B.C., and very early records found in Ireland. Greek and Roman writings about the Druids dwell heavily on their frequent and barbaric human sacrifices. The ancient Irish texts say little about human sacrifices, but detail the Druids' use of magic to raise storms, lay curses on places, kill by the use of spells, and create magical obstacles.
Davies, however, a 16th century writer who traced his family lineage directly back to Druid priests who fought against Caesar, clearly describes the human sacrifices of his ancestors and the secret sacrifices still performed regularly by the Druids of his time.
By 47 A.D., Rome finally defeated the Druids in Britain and outlawed human sacrifices. The few remaining Druids went underground.…
…October 31st was celebrated by the Druids with many human sacrifices and a festival honoring their sun god and Samhain, the lord of the dead. They believed that the sinful souls of those who died during the year were in a place of torment, and would be released only if Samhain was pleased with their sacrifices.
Irish records tell of the fascination the Catholic monks had with the powerful Druids, and Druids soon became important members of their monasteries. Pope Gregory the Great decided to incorporate the Druids' holiday into the church. He made the proclamation, "They are no longer to sacrifice beasts to the devil, but they may kill them for food to the praise of God, and give thanks to the giver of all gifts for His bounty." Pope Gregory III moved the church festival of October 31st to November 1st and called it All Hallows or All Saints' Day. Pope Gregory IV decreed that the day was to be a universal church observance. The term Halloween comes from All Hallows Eve.
The founding fathers of America refused to permit the holiday to be observed because they knew it was a pagan holiday. Halloween was not widely celebrated in the U.S. until about 1900. In the 1840's there was a terrible potato famine in Ireland which sent thousands of Catholic Irish to America. They brought Halloween with them.…)
(Encyclopedia Wikipedia)
(…Halloween is the evening before the Christian holy days of All Hallows' Day (also known as All Saints' or Hallowmas) on 1 November and All Souls' Day on 2 November, thus giving the holiday on 31 October the full name of All Hallows' Eve (meaning the evening before All Hallows' Day).[71] Since the time of the early Church,[72] major feasts in Christianity (such as Christmas, Easter and Pentecost) had vigils that began the night before, as did the feast of All Hallows'.[73] These three days are collectively called Allhallowtide and are a time for honoring the saints and praying for the recently departed souls who have yet to reach Heaven.…)
The actual roots of this celebration stems from the druids, but was so called christianised by the Catholic church, and both the Celts and Roman Catholicism are both pagan. But the word Halloween stems from Catholicism, which I repeat is pagan. On the Celt side of things you see mention of the dead, that is sinful souls of the dead, and of this Samhain which is the lord of the dead, yet on the Catholic side you see things associated with the dead also, that is praying for the dead, which is forbidden by scripture. So none of these festivities, whether in Roman Catholic form or Celt form are of God. And it is easy to see that this celebration is about death.

1 Corinthians 10:21 Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils.

Now let us get into Christmas. First of all the question I will ask is this, was Christ’s birth pure? Of course it was. So in and of itself, could it be a totally pure thing to celebrate Christ’s birthday? Well of course, since there is absolutely nothing that is impure in Christ’s birth, and he is our savior. Now it is not a commandment to celebrate Christ’s birth, but neither is it wrong in and of itself. Now what was Christ’s birth called? Mat 1:18 (18) Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. It was called the birth of Christ. Was it called Christmas? No it was not, and neither is the word Christmas ever found in scripture. Here is information on the word Christmas: (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christmas)
(…"Christmas" is a shortened form of "Christ's mass". It is derived from the Middle English Cristemasse, which is from Old English Crīstesmæsse, a phrase first recorded in 1038[9] followed by the word Cristes-messe in 1131.[32] Crīst (genitive Crīstes) is from Greek Khrīstos(Χριστός), a translation of Hebrew Māšîaḥ (מָשִׁיחַ), "Messiah", meaning "anointed";[33][34] and mæsse is from Latin missa, the celebration of the Eucharist….)
(...CHRISTMAS IS AN INVENTION OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH
The first error in Christmas celebration has to do with the word ‘Christmas’ itself. According to the Catholic Encyclopedia, the word ‘Christmas’ is composed of two words, ‘Christ’ and ‘mass,’ and it is in fact a word for the holy day which is the celebration of ‘the mass of Christ.’ Did you get that?
“The word for Christmas in late Old English is Cristes Maesse, the Mass of Christ, first found in 1038, and Cristes-messe, in 1131.”...
...The word ‘Christmas’ itself is an attempt to join the Holy Name of Christ with ‘mass,’…
...Earlier it was proven that ‘Christmas’ is actually a compound word, the joining together of ‘Christ’ and ‘mass.’ The ‘mass’ doctrine is a falsehood of the Roman Catholic Church….
…It is based on the doctrine of ‘transubstantiation,’ the belief that the bread and wine of the Lord’s Supper ACTUALLY BECOME THE LITERAL body of Jesus and the blood of Jesus. That doctrine is indeed akin to cannibalism in some respects! .....)
So the roots of the word Christmas, which is just simply short form for the word Christmass, has a bad root. It points to the Catholic mass, which they celebrate the abominable practice of transubstantiation. Deu 29:18 (18) Lest there should be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose heart turneth away this day from the LORD our God, to go and serve the gods of these nations; lest there should be among you a root that beareth gall and wormwood; We should never allow bad roots to form, and if we do, God wants us to cut off these roots. But what many tend to do, is ignore this aspect of the word of God. Today the word Christmas has evolved to mean the celebration of the birth of Christ on December 25th. But does God call us to merge the holy name of Christ, and merge it with an abomination of the mass, and allow it to evolve into Christ’s birth? What if the word Baal and Christ were used together, would God eventually allow these names to be merged together to eventually evolve to mean the birth of Christ? Of course not, and these doctrines of holy names mixed with unholy names evolving into an holy meaning (Christ's birth), is not biblical and in fact it is making a mockery of Christ. God wants us to cut the bad root, and not leave it there and let it evolve. God does not want us to take the Lord’s name in vain, and we take his name these days with so much irreverence. Lev 19:12 (12) And ye shall not swear by my name falsely, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the LORD. (John Wesley)
(Leviticus 19:12
Ye shall not swear falsely - This is added, to shew how one sin draws on another, and that when men will lye for their own advantage, they will easily be induced to perjury. Profane the name - By any unholy use of it. So it is an additional precept, thou shalt not abuse my holy name by swearing either falsely or rashly.)

Here is a definition of the word profane:
(Strong's concordance)
(H2490
חָלַל
châlal
khaw-lal'
A primitive root (compare H2470); properly to bore, that is, (by implication) to wound, to dissolve; figuratively to profane (a person, place or thing), to break (one’s word), to begin (as if by an opening-wedge); denominatively (from H2485) to play (the flute): - begin (X men began), defile, X break, defile, X eat (as common things), X first, X gather the grape thereof, X take inheritance, pipe, player on instruments, pollute, (cast as) profane (self), prostitute, slay (slain), sorrow, stain, wound.)

Here is what I mean by this evolving stuff.
Look at this definition:
(en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christmas)
(…"Christmas" is a shortened form of "Christ's mass". It is derived from the Middle English Cristemasse, which is from Old English Crīstesmæsse, a phrase first recorded in 1038[9] followed by the word Cristes-messe in 1131.[32] Crīst (genitive Crīstes) is from Greek Khrīstos(Χριστός), a translation of Hebrew Māšîaḥ (מָשִׁיחַ), "Messiah", meaning "anointed";[33][34] and mæsse is from Latin missa, the celebration of the Eucharist….)
Now look at a modern definition:
(Christmas
[kris-muh s]
noun
the annual festival of the Christian church commemorating the birth of Jesus: celebrated on December 25 and now generally observed as a legal holiday and an occasion for exchanging gifts.)
In that way the meaning of it has been allowed to evolve, but there is no doctrine in the bible that says to allow a pagan meaning to evolve to a non pagan meaning.
God wants us to completely cut off pagan roots, totally, if something is done in his honor, all pagan roots must be cut off, for God is a totally pure God in every way.
And this is not the first time that something pagan has been allowed to evolve into something of a Christian nature.

If your biggest objection is that we mix the name of Christ and Mas together, there is a simple enough solution. Just say "Happy Celebration of Christ's Birth." I look at a lot of things when I consider whether or not to celebrate the birth of Christ, such as who is doing the majority of the objecting. It is not Christians, but pagans that are upset about the songs about the Lord, manger scenes and other reminders of Jesus. I am not going to help them do away with a huge method of evangelism, through Christmas plays and just constant reminders for basically a month before we reach December 25 of the birth of our Lord. I do not believe that God is upset with us celebrating Christmas. I considered all of this when someone approached me at church and gave me a video on the pagan origins of the holidays, and after about an hour of watching, I decided this was much ado about nothing. Halloween is much easier to take a stand against in the sense it is a celebration of evil, but that is not the case with Christmas.

I will share more at a later point, but Christ's name should matter, we should look at things biblically, and not at things by feelings.
And songs wise, some songs at this time of the year are fine and some are not, some are actually not as scriptural as we think.
We may not know exactly when Christ was born, but it is said emphatically at this time that he was born on Christmas day, which is not true.
it is important to seek to be true in all we do or say, even though we fall short at times.
When we stand on something we need to have a biblical stand on our view.
I will share on more stuff on other areas of this issue in a bit.
And in truth the evangelism that takes place at this time of the year is not as strong as people think, I know when I was an unbeliever I heard the story of baby Jesus, yes it was touching in some form, but it never pricked my heart to want to get saved, I had heard that he came to save people, but I had never heard about how to get saved, most unbelievers think of the cute baby Jesus when the story of Jesus is mentioned, now is it a good message? Well of course.
Can it speak to people? Well of course, but it would be good to mix it with the salvation in Christ or how to get saved.
Which I do not doubt some do.
But I got truly pricked as an unbeliever when some people came to me and mentioned how that I must be born again, it caused me to ask questions and so on.
We have to be serious about Christ's name, and Christ's ways, feelings cannot come before what the word says.

And I truly find that the anointing is not as strong at this time of the year, for many reasons, and many others have noticed this as well.
I think we should just be natural focused on evangelism every day of the year.
And most people even though they hear about the birth of Christ, are more focused on presents, I know as an unbeliever I was.
And I use to be a Roman Catholic, and even in the Catholic church you would hear about the birth of Jesus, but of course the anointing is not there.
It may have made me think of Jesus, but it did not prick my heart to get saved.

Now I understand that many are not aware of the back ground concerning the word Christmas, but nevertheless it is important that people be shown, and God wants us to cut down bad roots, there should not be any support for bad roots.
Often times it is man that keeps bad roots alive.

But there is more to it than this, that I have to share.

What we have to do is make sure that we are careful in our discernment (I will share further on other bad roots), and some times we can easily discern the aspect of paganism that has no Christian garb to it, and yet can have difficulty, in certain areas in discerning the pagan aspect that has Christian garbs to it.
The pagan aspect that has no Christian garb, tends to speak against Christmas especially concerning the name of Christ, yet the pagan aspect that has Christian garb, such as Roman Catholicism does not speak against Christmas, but is this the method that we are to use to determine doctrine or things that God is for or not?
No, of course not, we go to the bible.
