I got into an agrument with my bf and I said I didnt anything to do with the holy spirit, the holy spirit is evil...bc I wanted to hold onto my anger...my bf made a reference to I wasnt walking in the spirit such as being slow to anger etc...(and at the time I really dont like when he used God on me to shut me up bc I wanted to continue to talk on whatever we were arguing) that's what lead me to say those things. The funny thing about that is, I knew to be very careful about what I said about the holy spirit so I was kinda contemplating which word I said bc I didnt want it to be used against me.. and I made the mistake to choose the word "evil"....and after that, I was very worried and gain false security through the internet of what the unpardonable sin is really all about. Thoughts and advice? Am I doomed or is there still hope? I was wondering where the name "knohope" came from? The unpardonable sin is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit or speaking a word against the Holy Spirit. I don't have any idea what you read on the internet to give you "false security" about what that sin is, but that is what the Bible says.
Before this whole thing happened, would you say that you were a born again Christian? Is your boyfriend saved? You said you were in an argument with him, and he was attacking you, claiming you were not walking in the Spirit. Is it a common thing in your relationship where you attack each other using scripture to get the other person in line? You said that you knew to be careful about what you said about the Holy Spirit, yet you chose to say the spirit was evil. You had to know that wasn't true, so why did you say it?
After this happened, you said you were very worried. Were you worried in the sense that you had done something you knew might never be forgiven, or under conviction to repent? Do you want to be saved, or are you just worried that you might not ever be able to be saved?
Here is what the Bible says about this subject in Matthew 12:31,32
Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.
You cannot undo what you said, and you wanted advise. I can't go further than scripture says with regard to the unpardonable sin. All I can suggest that you do is go to a private place, and seek the Lord with your whole heart. Tell him the circumstances surrounding why you said what you did, and tell him that you want to be saved. Continue to seek God till you get an answer one way or the other. I believe what the Bible says. I can't give you any assurance that everything will be alright. I wish that I could. It comes down to whether or not you crossed the line as God sees it. Did you mean it when you said it? Why did you say it? My advise is go to God in prayer in a quiet place and don't stop seeking till you get an answer from Him. Let us know what happens.

If you are feeling sorry it is because you have not committed the unpardonable sin.
The act of blaspheming the Holy Spirit is way deeper than mere words you say.
Blessings!

Normally, when a person comes to me with this kind of situation, and they are being convicted of God, I tell them the same thing, if God is dealing with them, they didn't do it because there would be no reason for God to convict them if they can't be saved. She didn't say that. She said she was in fear. We really don't have enough information to determine if she committed the unpardonable sin, but I don't feel I can give someone assurance they didn't commit this sin, when they did exactly what Jesus warned against doing, speaking a word against the Holy Ghost. This is not a light thing. Too many people shrug this off and make out like of course God will forgive them, even when Jesus said otherwise. I honestly can't say if she committed that sin or not. That is why she needs to take this to God.
By the way, how does speaking a word or blasphemy against the Holy Ghost go way deeper than mere words you say?

Okay. I don't know if she crossed the line or not, but everyone, please don't speak against the Holy Ghost. You know what the Bible says, and it is your eternal soul that is at stake. Look at what this was over, wanting to remain angry rather than bear fruit? Why not just say that you know you are not bearing good fruit, but choose to be angry? Right or wrong, that is better than saying something against the Holy Spirit. Don't put yourself in a position like this where you have to go around in fear. Listen to what Jesus says. If he warns you about something, take heed.

The first post in this thread explains what the unpardonable sin is. If God is still drawing a person to himself, wanting them to repent, I don't believe they committed the unpardonable sin, but I do wonder why any Christian would take chances. Speak a word against means just that. I don't know either about the person asking if she did it. John gave her good advise. Seek God.

Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand: And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand? And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges. But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you. Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house. He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.
Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgive unto men. And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come. Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.
O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
Matthew 12:25-37

How can Satan cast out Satan? And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand. And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end. No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house.
Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme: But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:
Mark 3:23-29

I got rebaptise again after I said what I said, bc the first time I got Baptist I was 16, heartbroken over a boy so I had to get rebaptise again that what I been told bc it wasnt for God. And when I got rebaptise I didnt realize I commit the unpardonable sin until I reread the scriptures again and that when I felt overwhelmed and then I start praying to God. I remember the scripture saying God will bring things to remembrance and thats when I realize what I said in the past. My boyfriend is a Christian for like 30 years like on/off but he always believe/trust in God. I believe in God too but life got really rough for me and I stop wanting to serve God. Honestly when I said evil, I was being vindictive as in I wanted to prove a point...i was enrage and I didnt wanted to calm down and walk in the "spirit" which is why I said that...and then I became worried that I committed the unpardonable. To the false security on the internet I read that in mark 3 30 "they were saying" was a past imperfect meaning they said it more than once... thoughts?

If you are feeling sorrow for what you said, and you really repented and want to serve the Lord now, I doubt you committed the unpardonable sin. I say that because it shows that God is still dealing with you. Why would He do that for someone who is in a hopeless condition? Do you feel the presence of God?

...in mark 3 30 "they were saying" was a past imperfect meaning they said it more than once... thoughts? “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to
forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” - 1 John 1:9If your child say that you are evil. And later they repent saying: Forgive me. Wouldn't you forgive them? “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children,
how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!” - Matthew 7:11 “Only acknowledge your iniquity,
That you have transgressed against the Lord your God,
And have scattered your charms
To alien deities under every green tree,
And you have not obeyed My voice,’ says the Lord.” - Jeremiah 3:13 “Come now, and let us reason together,”
Says the Lord,
“Though your sins are like scarlet,
They shall be as white as snow;
Though they are red like crimson,
They shall be as wool.” - Isaiah 1:18
